When is the NT2 coming out? Or is XRAY going for a record # of years with the same model name?

the electric car is already on "4".

OnRDPassion 01-30-2014 08:32 PM

All I know is Xray has not disappointed in the past with kit upgrades and performance increases.

Hey guys is anyone running a OS SPEED 12XZ SPEC III in their NT1? Keen to get some feedback on how you have found it.

mrgsr 01-31-2014 02:23 AM

A few of us run it, very fast! It's thirsty until completely broken in. Only negative is the matching pipe set, it's expensive and as soft as cheese when it's hot

Otherwise top motor!

I vote you run a Pico if you haven't purchased the OS yet. :D

thx for the feedback Mike. have read that about the pipe... Found it for a not too bad price though hence why I am looking at it as an option.

No I haven't bought yet mate. The other brand I have been looking at is Novarossi. I don't see a lot of Pico down under ATM.

So did a bit of looking in Australia after you said this and found the PODIFIED Picco Torque .12 2013 EDO MOD X TYPE for a very good price... Does anyone rate it in the NT1?

Well considering it's a Pico I am sure it has very similar power to the Picos that I am running. Granted I use a US Version "Team Edition" that is hand built by EDO himself. I can tell you I also have engines that are not the team edition ones and they run awesome as well. In fact last week I just broke in a new one that was a basic model and was expecting to use that as a "test" motor and it had so much power after the race weekend I took it out of the car rebuilt it and put it in a ziplock to use at a later date.

What I'm trying to say is that I can almost guarantee that you are going to love that motor.

My only concern is that looking at the team australia's page for the podified version is the crank looks to be different than what the current engines have. Now they might just have an old picture on the site but I have attached the images of what the podified one looks like according to the website and then what it should look like if it is an EDO EMX Type Pico.

Where in Sydney do you race? At Moorebank, the A finals are usually filled up with Picco's and OS's. You don't see many Novarossi's now. They are racing today, so you will see a few of these engines in action (including podified versions) if you can get down there.

Thanks for the feedback! I have replied to you in the picco thread http://www.rctech.net/forum/onroad-n...-picco-26.html :)

Just getting into it mate. I was thinking about going down for a look today but thought it was only 1/8 GT running today as that was what was listed on the site and within the thread
