Is there anything a person can do to prevent the clunk coming off the nipple?

2: I removed the nipple.. drilled out the hole and ran the tube through the tank similar to how losi does it. |

Quick update on the tanks. We have a new material and a fix for the clunk. We are working on a couple more things to make the tanks better before we get a new batch to update the existing tanks. We were hoping to have something this week, but it could take another week or two to get them here. We just want to make sure that if we're going through the trouble to make things better that we go the extra mile and make it great. Another week or two now will benefit everyone for the life of the product. More info as we have it...
Thanks! Keep us posted. |

Thanks Tekno...I had full confidence that you would address the tank issue correctly. Looking forward to the new tanks...I'm driving much more cautiously in hopes that the my tank doesn't have more issues...can't wait to drive with that worry gone.
Keep us posted. |

I really hope new tank fix all issues, but like I said, the tank hitting the steering post is probably why there are people with broken tanks. Tank post and the tank material doesn’t seem the cause, what is causing the broken tank is the front flex of the chassis. I don’t know for sure just an idea, but it seems pretty logical to me.
That's interesting, my tank is no where near my steering post. |

1: I know guy that was able to put a small zip tie around the nipple.. I am not sure how he managed to do it but he did.. and it has held up.

I cut a small piece of fuel tubing so it's like a tiny rubber band and use that like a clamp over all the fittings

Thanks for the great feedback. Still a little confused on how to get the short piece of fuel line all the way down on the nipple inside the tank. My fingers aren't that small. Or do I pull the clunk off to start with?

I got the roller finished up last night and I have to say it again. Very nice build and butter smooth! everything fits together very well and it is a pleasure to build. I cant wait to get the radio tray and engine in her! I suck at painted so the paint job will be nothing to write home about, but I will post pictures when I am done.

FTW Night Fox XB9 body with Upgrade-RC wrap. Body fits real nice and is a lot thicker than the stock body. Body only needed a little bit of trimming to fit. I am using a air filter setup off my old Mugen 6T so I had no issues with hitting the linkages.
