Is this so it will fit the truggy tower or will the current wing mount fit the truggy tower? http://gallery.neobuggy.net/2015race...O/_YB_8654.jpg

I am running the new wing mount, and full truggy shocks. The buggy rears are the truggy fronts. the XL shocks are the truggy rears. All with the stock towers as well as the new hinge pin mount system. I dremeled the arms for the new mounting positions.

How are you liking the new hinge pin mount system? Is it a worthy upgrade?

I like options and you have a lot more options for positions. Hrc, LRC and middle. Not to mention you can also alter he track with somewhat with them if you wanted to try that as well. I think it is worth the money, but i am sure there will be some who will not think that it is worth it because they already have the +1.5 and the LRC brace.

I already do have the +1.5 and the LRC brace, and I'm currently running one of Lutzs' "older" setups with that system, which seems to work well. I would like to try the new hinge system however, but I'm not sure where I would start with all the new options!

Do you know how the NB48 compares to the MBX7R? I'm going into my third year of racing and two of my three cars of Teknos. I don't have much experience with other brands so I was just curious.

Yes sir! The Mugen is a great buggy, there is a good reason why so many people run them. Again though, it comes down to driving style.

The mugen car has excellent rough track handling, probably one of the best characteristics about the car. The rear end of the car is also very aggressive, and likes to slide out and rotate in corners instead of gripping and apexing the corner. Of course this is just my opinion, and it could've been how I had the car setup.

Both cars handle very well. The main difference between the two is the company itself and the adjust ability of the cars. The Tekno car has about a thousand different ways you can set it up to suit your driving style, while the Mugen guys pretty much run similar setups and change only a few things from track to track. Depending on how you look at this it could be an advantage or hindrance. I'm sure in the future the Tekno drivers will come up with a great base setup once we've all played around with the possibilities of the new suspension hangers etc. For the company part, you've really got to look at the level of support. As I said before, the Tekno team and company support is pretty much unparalleled by any company in the industry. Take it for what its worth, but I really like being able to send a message over Facebook to Lutz or Matt Wolter (team manager) and getting an answer within a couple hours.

Anyone tried running the truggy towers and shocks on their nb?

The team really only ran the truggy towers at the DNC, at this point i believe they've gone back to the buggy towers.

The wing mount is something they've been using for awhile, and it was developed to help lower the CG of the buggy. Both wing mounts fit on both towers.

It's currently available on the Tekno site:

Thanks for posting feedback Rob. Maybe I will just upgrade my NB with the new stuff, as I just put it together two races ago. And have the stuff laying around anyways.:) What have you seen with the new shocks?

granted it is on my E buggy it made the car way more stable and consistent. I only have one race day on the car since doing the mods. However, the car has more grip all around. I spent all day taking away rear traction to get more rotation. I am just about there, but need a little more time.

Truggy shocks will work with the buggy towers? If so I might take the shocks off my et48 and try them out on my buggy.

NB48 Release Date

Can someone tell me when the NB48 came out? I'm looking hard at them, but don't want to purchase yet if it looks like an upgrade may be coming soon. Thanks.
