sorry, forgot to mention, we're right by the lake, so its also like 90 percent humidity too, plus bugs, I was at the pit 2 weekends ago for the enduro, once the sun went down it was awesome out, havasu is miserable once the sun goes down when its that hot, its like a cloud of humidity rolls off the lake onto the track, no wind, not even a breeze, then the bugs come out
There is a REALLY good reason why we dont race in the thick of summer here

I picked up the chassis today from my office. It could hav came anytime this week as I haven't been there. My wife and I had a new babby girl on mon 7/20. But the chassis looks sweet. . I know it's a prototype so no anodize. How will that hold up on the track? Just wondering. But it looks way cool I can't wait to get it bolted up. I will post pics as soon as I'm done, but be patient with me guys a new babby throws a curve ball in RC land at my house.

my mate had a very similar issue with a picco. it would run great but flame out half way up the rev range. it turned out it needed another .1mm shim
maybe try that
i'm going to give the new chassis a run tomorrow.
ill take a pic of the track and let you know how it goes

This chassis was awsome today. i raced on a hardpacked track that had been watered yesterday and it has a soft loose layer on top of the racing line with a cushion off the racing line
i played with the setup a little and ended up settling back on my stock setup.
with the AKA tires i found that my stock oils were great but with standard softer foams i found the car was a little too soft. it wanted to stand up on 2 wheels into corners. so i will try some harder oils with the softer foams
once i got the tires right i found that the truggy seemed to hook up into a corner alot better. you could push the truggy alot harder without it wanting to push like the standard one would if you were driving it as hard.
it also seemed alot more predictable in the air and on landings. it just seemed to run off the face of the jump on a better line which made it alot quicker through the air, landings were a breeze aswell
i was running a mostly stock setup with these changes
white rear springs, 32.5wt rear shock oil, 3K rear diff oil, 2 degrees of front camber and 3 degrees of rear camber, hubs all the way forward, 40mm front and 43mm rear ride height
this worked really well for me
i will play around with it some more and let you know how i go

If mine arrives I'll be racing with it this saturday. I'll let everyone know how it does. It will be a 2.0 chassis on a 1.0 8ight-t
