Adam Drake Modification to the TLR Gen 3 Radio Tray
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp8gI...eature=g-all-u Stop it at the 1:20 or so time frame and you can see that he runs the stock center diff mount with the end cut down to get a straight pull on the carb. I did the same thing but looks like he took more off and got a straighter pull, I'll work mine a bit more I think to get the carb straighter. |
For those running Losi clutches, what shoes/springs work good on a med bite track with lots of jumps?
One truggy has 2 blue alum with silver springs/2 silver alum shoes with gold (RTR setup) One truggy has 4 blue alum with 2 silver/2 gold springs (RR setup bought used) Both have different motors (see sig) and setup so hard to tell on the track which one is really better with all the variables. I'm new to racing so looking for something to get a good bite for the jumps and decent mileage as I'm learning to drive better. Thanks, |

Just try the Zippy flightmax lipo batteries. They are only about $10, and last a long time.

I think if money is an issue. Than sometimes you should listen when you ask a question. I'm not saying any names. But I see The same person with ???. Read the thread. Do some knowledgable research. With regard to servos and battires. You can get two awesome 6.0v servos for $4 more with almost 2x the torque. Then you get a 6.0v LiFe rx pack for around $30. and your done. And you have/would've had. Saved money on the battery. And in the long run on servos. Stronger servos = Less work/strain on servo to work, = longer Life of Servo.AND Less power needed to work = Longer life of rx pack. ALL means Less money spent in the life of the car. Case in point on servos. ALL this is just my opinion. I'm just saying. :-)

You do have to remember, this is probably one of a thousand vehicles Adam has he could use to do How-to video's with, and more than likely is not one he races or even drives. Notice the Hitec servos, and if I not mistaken, he runs Spektrum now :tire::tire:
He has told me though that he DOES NOT run the aluminum split centre diff mount and I've seen this for myself at many of the races I attend.... |

Thanks, well this is a tough one...... but without seeing the "Track" tough to say...??? but seeing your "Location Stamp" i would say Revelation? ARC? maybe..??? ;) if your close to those a standard set up would work pretty good.... with 2composite w/green springs and 2 alloy with gold springs. some will run all alloy with green springs but varies from "Driver to Driver" now this is assuming the "Motor" is Tuned and right tires for the track.... now normally silver springs you wouldnt use unless you have a motor with very little on the low end power band..... but motors of the same brand can be different..... give the stock set up a try first ;) if it feels maybe like not enough? the good thing with the "Losi Style" clutch there easy to work on ..;) so then try the all alloy with 2 green springs and 2 gold........ if still not enough? try all alloy shoes with all gold spings...... still not enough...check tuning on motor or "Motor" already has Killer torque! and just "Spining the Wheels"........ but cool part as well most locals at the tracks if you have a question most are more than happy to lend a hand....:):) :) |

They are too soft and wear to fast for me. I have also not had good luch with composite shoes eather. I keep breaking them were the pin goes thru and it drags and makes the truck bog alot on the low end. I prefer the Losi Long Lifes. My standard clutch set-up is 2 gold and 2 silver. This past weekend I messed around and ran a green and gold set-up and liked it alot, but the track was kinda slick as mother nature sprinkled us pretty good. I may test an all gold to see if I can get a little more snap when the traction comes up. Your Sig says you run a B5 Pro, as do I, so you have plenty of torque to run a softer set-up. Good luck. Testing and tweeking is half the fun I think. |
got new servo t/b from a main all most there
|
I run the Losi blues on gold spring on the Speed, works pretty good for my liking.
|
got my motor in and got a few ? its a b5 got the carb pull to not hit the diff mount. is the flaywheel rock on the shaft the nut is way tight.
