The OS .30 is not a bad motor but you can do better for less money. The Werks B2 or B5 would be perfect for your truck. They are good torquey truggy motors. Easy to break in, easy to tune and easy to use. They are both under $200 (180 for the B5 and 150 for the B2). About the pull start or roto start hitting the driveshafrt. I cant say for sure because I have never used one but losi did have motors with there starting system and didnt have any problems. Even the 810 has a roto start and its basicly the same design. I do knoe you wont be able to use the one piece motor mount. |
i had good luck with os motors. i had a os 21 vg in a rc 8 t it was ok not the best low end.
the way the motor mounts are in losi the two block. so i need to put in a spacer on top of the mount to lift it up . |

Your previous post asked about motors, so I will hit that first.

B5: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...tor-Turbo-Plug These are from A-Main. I bet if you surf around you could find them a little cheaper. Or even look in the F/S section. |
I have a new os 30 and pipe never run I'll let go for 175 plus shipping.

Use OS P3 or P4, Werks medium or hot, or Odonnel 97T plugs. I personally like the OS plugs but thats just me. Always had good luck with them.

my roto start will work. just need a motor that fits in the truck with a roto start back plate.

thanks. i have a pipe still its a jammin jp 4. are the werks motors way tight new?

Even when properly installed, the roto starts and pull starts start to leak and cause tuning issues. you will save money in the long run if you just belly up and get a bump box. As far as break-in on the werks, its not as tight as say an Alpha but tighter than an OS. Key to any break-in is pre-heat. Use a Comp engine heater, or hot air dryer to get the motor almost too hot to the touch. It will make your life easier and your engine's life longer. |

The JP-4 pipe will be fine. I would use it until you can get a low end pipe like a JP-1, or Losi RE-10 or the monster, a Werks 2013. The 2013 is by far the best out of these IMO.
