What do you mean it didnt fit well. Was it just tight getting over the gasket on the back. you need to lube it a little. a couple drops of after run oil aroung it and it will slip right on.

Having the carb clocked a little wont effect it at all.

when you set up the Gen 3 tray, Zero out your servo trim and set all you epa's to about 70. when you get everything hooked up, the little lines on the horns and tray should be as close a possible. use the turnbuckle to adjust you throttle and put the steering horn on as close as possible. then use your trim to make it perfect.

After that, adjust the steering epa so you have maximum throw and the servo savor just starts to break loose. you dont need anymore and its a waste anyway.

for the throttle, loosen up the collar on the throttle linkage so the carb sits closed ( I install a rubber band to keep it there and use it as a return spring). then set it against the horn and tighten the set screw. check you throttle open epa to open in almost all the way. you should have just a little left and you can pull it open with your fingers.

Brakes. If you are building the kit and set the linkages up like the book, you should just need to adjust your epa until the rear bearly locks up. too much will burn the servo out. not enough and you brakes will be weak. after your epa is set then fine tune with the blue screws.

Good luck.

And put a couple more drops of oil on the exhaust gasket to make it easier.

One other thing I noticed last night was the blue linkage adjustment on the top brake was grabbing the servo horn. I had to move it right to the end of the linkage and turn it around the opposite direction to create enough space to stop the rubbing of the servo horn.

Note: this is on the gen III tray

vito 05-08-2012 05:15 PM

its a gen 3 tray. now i need some servos. will and on an off switch take lipo power?

vito 05-08-2012 05:20 PM
