As far as truggy arms go the Losi arms are some of the most rigid of any of them. They are certainly not too flexible.;)
I've yet to have any problem with the shafts popping out. On the only occasion that I've even seen the problem occur it was due to a bent hinge pin. If Drake says there was a bad run of spindles, I would think that's the reason for the issues. It also explains why they were happening often for a period of time without having ever been a problem before that. The shafts on the front of my truck sit right at the edge of the outdrives, but haven't popped out in several years of running them like that. |

LOL, they're plastic. Of course they will warp over time. If you think the losi arms warp you should see some of the other brands.;)
There is no doubt that they warp over time, but nowhere near enough to cause the arms to pop out IMO. I've run a set of arms for a whole season before and never had an issue. Just sayin...;) |

Seems to be a trend lately for some of the pro's to be getting on the forums these days. Maybe taking a lesson in marketing from Lutz or JQ? |
So i just made the switch over from mugen to losi and have one race on my 8t 2.0, is there any way to get the rear from spinning around so much... At the track i switch diff fluids between heats but that didnt help... Wondering if there is some tricks of the truck you all know about
thanks in advance Steve |

I am not sure he ever said that his drive shafts popped out, just that one is near the edge like 90% of ours. That is why I am finding it hard to believe they changed sizes when this vehicle has been out for how long and no one else seems to have this problem. But, you know Adam Drake does work at the factory in China somewhere watching over the quality control of all the parts for us. Sounds like the speculation on the JQ thread before the vehicle was even out that the drive shafts would come out and not one has done it yet from watching the thread.

Straight from the Losi forum, I messed the question up, but you get the correct answer.
Adam, has there been a running change in the lenght of the outdrives on the 8T 2.0. This seems to be the rumor on rctech. l3asher- No, the outdrives for the 8ight and 8ight T are the same. We did do a running change to the dogbones on the 8ight T 2.0 (little longer). |
