any one try it? also, is this a WHEEL issue? will this same issue happen with other wheels?

I was also told by a buddy that the servo saver arms are breaking. He said 4 went down last weekend at the track. Just to be on the safe side I bought the AL servo saver arm.

okay, now it looks like more and more issues. so far we have...

1) shock ball ends stripping out
2) wheels rubbing against a-arms when turning deeply
3) servo saver arm breaking

what else we got?

Mine are just fine, check the droop before you run.

When I looked last night this was not a problem on mine.

Run it and see I bought one just to have one thing less to worry about.

1) Set your droop
2) not really a big problem. not all wheels will rub. only rub at full travel.
3) set servo saver right and it wont break. I have the aluminum one for mine and feel it is a good part to have anyway. only $20.

If the rims are hitting the rods these wil be the ticket to solving the problem

i watched one fail Touching the pipe...its not a "being set properly" issue.

i would suggest installing the alum version before the first run...whats the point of having to take off the front end and screw with the saver the first day at the track.

Isn't this the same part that has been being run on the 2.0 buggy for several months now? Without any failures? I know truggies weigh more and have bigger tires but if it wasn't failing on the buggy why would it be failing on the truggy?

I still agree that the aluminum upgrade is a good one but don't see why the plastic ones would be breaking.

That is not the problem. The spindles are rubbing the inside webbing in the wheel. Not the linkages rubbing the inside of the wheel.

the servo arm breaking could just be an issue of the guy tightening the spring down to much so it has no room 2 save its self should I say

brad996 02-05-2009 02:37 PM

About the servo saver arm breaking I had it happen to me on the buggy and also lost a servo when it happened

the problem is the servo saver cant move as far as it needs to when its set from the factory it will only move about 1/4 the way down the ramp

the fix just back off the servo saver about 3 or 4 turns till it moves about 3/4 down the ramp that should fix it

also I wouldnt use the alum servo arm untill you loosen the servo saver better to break the arm than a servo I have also seen them break the whole right side of the servo saver

Ill state it again...these were all rebuilt by myself and tested...they had more then enough throw to do their job...i didn't even question putting on the new 2.0 plastics as i knew the saver actually worked...yett they broke...and to the user who claimed the 1.0 alum top worked on the 2.0 bottom is sadly mistaken...then do not line up worth a bean and i couldn't see the saver actually working like that.

Well again it has been working on the 2.0 buggy for months so I kinda doubt the arms are just "breaking".
