ok guys, i need you to tell me why i should buy this truck and not a D8t or jammin x2 or even rc8t i am on a tight budget and only got 450 to spend on roller so i was going to wait till around april 17th to get a truggy. so why buy the 2.0 what is so good about it i like my 1.0 but want something newer.
thanks, Thomas Jones |
Question,
Is it nexassary to cut out a section of the front window for cooling air flow? It looks as though the body would block any direct air flow to the head. It seems as though the body is designed to suck air up around the block and around the head. Wouldn't the other openings (front wheel wells) supply enough air? Or are you trimming away the body where it blocks air to the head? The scribed hole in the top of the body would be for fueling more so than anything else right? Looks like it's time to break out the fuel gun. |

Just ran the new 2.0 truggy and its hands down better than the 1.0 I ran,
One thing I did notice were some cracked rims on a few 2.0's, both stock Losi and the AKA's. I mounted up a set of AKA's and by the end of the day, I found one cracked on the back side of the wheel going straight out towards the front. Been a long time since I cracked a wheel on a truggy. Anyone have that happen? Any ideas of what might be the cause? Ran pretty clean all day, so I am stumped and a little bummed at the same time. Thanks for any help. |
The AKA truggy wheels have had a few problems with cracking, but AKA has made new wheels with stronger molds to help prevent this.
|
send them in to AKA and they will replace them with New one's...they want to see the cracked rims for themselves
i read that in the AKA thread a while back. |

That sounds like a direct hit on me personally. If you dont like it then deal with it but it was at practice and I'm telling you no crashes or hard hits. It is what it is. Even though I had the problem I still purchased 2 more sets. AKA's are just a great match for this truggy.
i agree on the tires being the best in the market but dont believe rims can crack from just running on the track...big landing's or Not....well maby if they are chassy slapping off something like the Psycho Nitro Blast style jumps...but anything else No....you physically need to hit something or tumble pretty hard to tweek a wheel. |

And what do they crack from Integra, falling off the bench maybe.
hitting the pipe at WOT....nosediving off the big tripple....casing a jump you KNOW you shouldn't be....take your pick...wheels crack...but not from just running the car around the track....you have to hit something and or crash/tumble first. |
