Ya it does seem like a good deal. I've had my 8t 1.0 rtr (converted to race roller) for three months , first ever rc, and I'm gonna order my 2.0 tomorrow. This stuff is great!!!

The 7 port go is soft on the bottom end, and the 086 will make it much worse. It'll scream on the top end though. Your going to have clutch problems no matter what you do. You have to spring it tight to get rpms up before it engages. It's just going to be hard on shoes, springs, and bearings because of the amount of slip it will have. Gearing down a tooth on the c/b will help quite a bit but, you'll loose some top end speed. Otherwise I'd recommend getting a differant pipe to give it more bottom end power. As for clutch shoes, I would recommend the Dynamite maxlife shoes. I love the Fioroni turbo slider clutch, but even in this application it will most likely get real hot, weakening the springs and overheating the bearings.
Good luck.

the only reason is i want a coupon code i dont want to pay uncle sam his 42 bucks !! and get out the door at 539. and i dont think a dang toy truck should cost 600 bucks to begin with. but i guess that's the hobby

thats what i run. i always seemed to go thru more shoes when i used silver thats why i went to green. i think it also makes it more controllable

I didnt find a coupon code so It was like 580 out the door, would of been nice to get it for 539 tho. Still better than 699

Who sells those decals? And do they go on the underside?

John Schafer 03-23-2009 04:50 PM

They go on the out side. You still have to paint the base color inside. White in this case.

ok guys, i need you to tell me why i should buy this truck and not a D8t or jammin x2 or even rc8t i am on a tight budget and only got 450 to spend on roller so i was going to wait till around april 17th to get a truggy. so why buy the 2.0 what is so good about it i like my 1.0 but want something newer.
thanks,
Thomas Jones

tires and wheels

Hello guys my buddy has a New losi truggy 2.0 he was curious to which tires and rims he had to get to run on there? he was saying something about the offset being a little different and that really limited the outdoor tire choices he had to choose from. so if anyone could please tell me which ones are compatible with the new truggy he would appreciate it Thank You

pilotwings119 03-23-2009 08:05 PM

You need Standard (Zero) Offset wheels. I recommend the AKA Truggy Wheels - they don't rub anywhere on the truck.
