Made it! :)

What a massive read this was.

Got my 2.0 about a week ago, shes almost ready to go just got check the shock ends, check the setup and paint her up

Looking forward to trying her out it has to be a huge improvement over my 2 yr old GS rtr truggy.

The bolts in the camber links are now heaps long enough to catch on the nyloc part of the nuts and they have included a tank pull as well

Congrats on the new ride.
A freind of mine has bought a new one and all the flaws where fixed.
The shock ends where fine.
Tankpull included.
New servo saver setup.

I personaly think the roller is mow realy race ready without having to upgrade some things.

I tried the new shorter rear camber links during a qual this weekend and I didn't like it. I had pleanty of steering before and after there was too much so I pulled them off maybe I needed to change the steering expo or some other setup change but they went back in the box. I like the pretty much stock setup with a 3-3 rear toe plate and both smart diffs suites me very well.

Where did it add steering? I am pushing going in and pretty solid coming off the turn. I could use more going in off power and through the middle of the turn on power.

It made the rear end very very loose. It seemed to add steering in the middle and exiting the corners. I had to be careful how hard I got on the throttle coming out of the corner or I would do a doughnut, and doughnuts are fun and all but not when you are on the clock.

I tried the shorter camber link to, with everything else stock, except that I had 3k in the rear diff and was also running 64 pistons and 40 shock oil in the front.

My rear end was really loose before, this just made it worse, lol.

I adjusted the front camber link inner to the middle hole and the rear camber link inner to the upper hole. This calmed the rear down, but then I struggled to get the car turned in.

My mate had done some fidding on his setup, must remember to find out what he did, and he could carry so much more speed into the corner than I could. He just drove by me like I was looking for parking.

I'm thinking of buying either a losi or a mugen, I'm new at offroad so what do you guys think would be best?
Does mugen make a rtr?

losi_racer 10-20-2009 03:06 PM

No mugen does not make a RTR. Both trucks are stellar performers. Just depends on your driving style which one is better for you.

Losi all the way baby

the new shock towers are NEEDED...OR make your own till losi brings them out

40w in the front with 54pistons
35w rear with stock 56 pistons black springs in the rear..(or the stock grey)

short camberlinks with the links mounted on the upper hole on the shock tower...

im waiting for the shock towers but i run the short links in the upper position and i love it...steers alot more

i did try it on the lower position and it was loose as helll...

GMS_Racing 10-20-2009 03:57 PM

Ahhh i think the post i read left out the fact that you had to move the inner mount to the upper hole
