im sure this is around here somewhere but im trying to educate myself on the smartdiff ramps, i have one in the center of my truggy, i believe it have the 90 degree ramps and 2 springs, what difference are the 120's? any help is appreciated

mattwoodcraft 06-21-2009 10:08 AM

90 degree ramp plates are smoother not as aggressive as the 120

smart diffs come standard with 120 dgeree ramp plates with .15 springs

Hey guys, is their a quick way you guys adjust the front toe-out?? My 2.0 is still stock out of the box and looking to try some things. Also, still have problems with on power steering and looking to try a few different adjustments. The truck still wants to push in the turns :(.

The front toe is adjustable with the steering turnbuckles.

For more steering, reduce the rear toe in from 3.5 to 3 degrees with the 3-3 rear plate.

wheni took the idea to them long before the 2.0's came out they said there was no market for it, and that it would never sell.
now that the 2.0's are out and the problem has gotten worse they are producing them at a rip off price and have not contacted me regarding them.
i may not have been the very first person to do the mod. but i did take the idea to them

Well in that case I thinks that sucks if you talked to the people at KH and they shot you down and still went ahead with the idea. That truly sucks. Tell them you want free parts for life:nod::lol::lol:

Ok...got the 3-3 plate coming. Wish their was a quick way to adjust the front toe-in instead of screwing with the turn buckles.....PITA to do at the track.

mattwoodcraft 06-22-2009 08:42 AM

you can do it roughly just turn each turn buckle a 1/4 at a time or thats all i do then you have some sought of referance:) doing this works fine providing its pretty well set to start with :)

Jose the best way to adjust the front toe-out is to grab your caliper and get a measurement on your turnbuckle length (inside to inside). The adjust both sides equally about a mm at a time then run the truck in between each adjustment. By adding toe-out you will gain a little initial turn-in but will ose some exit steering. The 3 degree rear toe block will help a bunch
Also I have noticed that the losi likes to be nuetral through a turn-run hard up to turn in-then roll through the turn and thn as the truck straightens up then power out. My kyosho was the opposite you setup for the turn then just as the truck began to rotate you could really power through the turn-it had all kinds of on power steering.
I'm not sure if the electrics make that big of a difference-maybe some of the other FLASHLIGHT (sorry couldn't resist) guys could shed some light on the electric part and if they had to change their setup at all
Have you tried a smartdiff yet? I only run my truck once without it, but have played with it some and I think cullman would be the perfect track for the smartdiff
May check your front camber another degree of negative camber may give some more steering-also one thing to watch out for with the losi is makin sure your suspensionstays free and not "sticky" the rear hingepins seem to pack with dirt especially when run on topsoil tracks. I bought the eds arm reamer pack and it has made a huge difference- I also keep my hingepins polished

l3asher 06-22-2009 08:51 AM

Whick arm reamer works for the 2.0?

shady3031 06-22-2009 09:00 AM

The rear inner was a 4mm I think-the 3 piece kit came with a 3 3.5 and a 4 mm and I think it was $35 shipped to the house
My truck had been run about a gallon and didn't think it could get better, but after reaming the arms the suspension was so much smoother
