I guess this is related, I had a motor go out on my losi box while at the track yesterday. Wired up one and it went good and I was able to finish out the day before my throttle servo took a crap. First one on this truggy and 'mm not liking it one bit BUT I will have a 7955tg in there with no regulator before long so hopefully it was just because of a no good servo..
So what motors should I replace my stock ones with in my box? Anyone have a link or links to everything I need? And what's the 2mm adapters losi was just talking about?

Haven't had any troubles with throttle servo yet, did blow a jr 9100 t but it had over 10 gallons so I guess it was time, however I do have a local pro that has gone through a couple of the jr hv servos all on the throttle-we think it has something to do with the heat coming off the motor, replaced them with the new digital airtronics and no probs yet. For you guys having trouble on the throttle servos, when they go check the temp of the servo and see if it is hot, his was exte$ly hot, thinking the board or something can't handle the heet, but at $199 they should handle being lit on fire lol

What up mark?

You have to lock tight the screws in to the shaft. I thread the screw threw the piston, apply lock tight and then screw into the shock shaft. If you apply the lock tight before threading the screw threw the piston you take all the lock tight off the screw. Have not had a piston come loose since I started doing it this way.

. I was even using a heat gun on the engine but if you know Go Techs...they're unbelievably tight! I totally rebuilt the starter box with Traxxas 12T 550 Titans and 12 AWG Deans Wire.

I had my BRAND NEW Losi starter box burn up both motors while I was trying to break in a new Go Tech engine

The losi box is very weak. Not a good combo for breaking in tough engines. I switched to the Ofna Truggy box and transfered the top of my losi box to the top of the Ofna box. I recently broke in a GRP .28, in the past .21 GRP's gave my Losi box a tough time even with heat, The Ofna box didnt even break a sweat, it never hesitated and always turned the new engine over. Not once did I have to turn the fly wheel over with a screwdriver because it was stuck. I did install the 4s lipo and deans wet noodle wiring throughout it. No starter box problems now.
