That normally means they are going to be coming out with a NEW car & truggy. If history repeat's it self.

nickdawg18 01-24-2013 11:19 AM

Or maybe losi is dropping 1/8th all together?

Just a joke of course! Lol

I hope they come standard with the smart diff, non pop steering joints, titanium gear, split centre diff housing, alloy rear hubs, quick change engine mount, lightened out drives, alloy King Pin Spindle & Carrier, aluminium Front/Rear CV Drive-shaft Axles, mud guards, skid plates, adjustable Rear Hinge Pin Braces etc just to name a few :weird:

motoclay 01-24-2013 04:06 PM

wow Ok where do i start.

Smart diff's aren't Ideal in All situation's therefor that would be a No Bueno on SD being the "Standard" diffs included in the Kits.

No Pop steering Joints they currently are.

Titanium gear ? No clue what your referring to here.

Split center diff is Nice, But Not at All Needed. Same with Rear Alum Carriers.

Aluminum Drive Axle's would Bend/Snap Far too soon in truggy to make them remotely Worth the weight savings.

And If they were to Include all these "Hop Ups" In the Package....What do you think the MFG will sell you at a later date ? There's good reason the Hopups dont come Included. They WANT to sell you stuff later down the road.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I mean't titanium turn-buckles I love my Losi's I have an RC8 .2 and a DNX408 as well I think Losi are the better car. I haven't had many problems with any of the hop-ups, I just thought I would put my two cents in because I think Losi would get a bigger market share if they threw a few extra sweet hop-ups in the mix, a bit of bling goes a long way especially newbies who just buy a car because it looks great, I think that is why the Durango is sitting on my bench  plain old steel turn buckles are a bit drab compared to some other kits out there I shan't mention, anyhow thanks again :)

Adam posted on Facebook that the new box uses an updated belt and features as charging port.

Good to hear, Kinda always wondered why those darn belts were failing. Glad i stuck it out with the OFNA box with the Losi parts.

Still have a 2.0 box sitting in the shop. Maybe ill just update it with a new belt.

Just jumped into headfirst into truggy class with one of the discounted kits :).

Anyone have a good baseline setup to start off with for a track that's ~160x80, current layout pretty tight and technical 1/10th oriented without any big jumps (Omaha's Hobbyplex)? Tends to get somewhat dry/slick on nitro days but overall traction is decent on mostly clay based dirt.

I run Drake's 09 Nats setup on my buggy with a few minor tweaks and have been very successful with it. Something similar for the truck would be awesome.

Drakes standard truggy setup is money 95% of the time. I believe the factory race roller setup is just like his standard setup. Just use the right tires for the track, set ride height and have some fun.
