Is there anyway I can make it work for the weekend? I guess I could order a new bellcrank but no local hobby shops, so it wouldn't be cheap to get it shipped here in time

You'll just have to keep an eye on it after each practice and quals. Like someone mentioned last page, generally the screw backs out slightly and then no more. This only when the parts are wearing out. Doesn't usually happen with new parts.

During the main...have your pit guy keep the 2mm hex wrench close. He can check it during pit stops, and you turn the wheel so the rack is more exposed for him.

hi guys

I drive on high grip astro track
and basically looking even more steering in the truggy
what do you guys think about weight in center position
behind the diff housing

has anyone here experience whit more weight
or are there any other idea to find more steering

thanks

Hello

We race on grass with gv grinders which I think you would find to be very simillar to your astro turf.

My base line setup is

7f 15c and 2r

Front shock all the way in on tower, middle on the arms,
Standard front linkage positions,
3 deg camber
Black springs and std pistons and oils
2.5/2.3 sway bar

Rear shocks fully out on v2 tower, middle of arms,
Inner upper linkage on tower, 2nd hole in from inside on hub,
3 deg camber
purple springs and 35wt oil,
2.7 sway bar

What i'm trying to get at is i run a stiff rear end but a super soft front end to get the truggy to dip and steer.

Just installed some aluminum goodies I stole off ebay. :D I got the aluminum top plate and front brace and more importantly, the race roller front and V2 rear shock towers. I love getting new parts!!

Anyways, I was looking at the Drake set-up and I noticed he doesn't use the Smart Diffs. Why would they be useful and where would you use them?
Thx!

The smart diff was kinda a phase for a lot of people. It was more of a on/ off locker that didnt really provide as much slip as a normal diff. Thats why most went back to the normal diffs. I have seen them used on all kinds of tracks from flat tracks to beat up blown out ones. It was a personal prefferance for the drivers.
Guys who still run 1/8 Oval love them for the lock up feature but thats about really all that I know use them. I dont see spending 50+ bucks on them and then another 50 or so on all the different ramp plates for tunning. JMO.
