Its same problem with the same solution.

There is nothing different between the front and rear besides the fronts turns side to side. hinge pins and drive shafts are the same.

ok..maybe that would have been a nicer way to post ;)

So I need to hang on to my current driveshafts if I buy a fresh truck. Mine is currently over three seasons old and never had the dog bone issue. I don't want to buy a new kit and have to send parts back right away. LoL.

By the way, 2012 RC Pro Series Open Class National Champ. I was happy about his one. And yea the 5th place guy had already left.

The answer is on the last page right before your 1st post. The dogbones on early model trucks are 2mm shorter than the newer ones. If you have the correct bones they should measure 150mm. The older bones were 148.

:/

Okay, so I just installed a whole bunch of aluminum goodies. :) Black front tower, V2 rear tower, front top plate, front brace, rear brace, and 10° carriers and spindles. Shock caps come in next Tuesday. :D (along with a bulldog body and high down force rear wing)

Question: There is alot of play in the spindles, up and down. Is there a spacer or shim thats supposed to go there? If so, what thickness?
Thanks

No shims in the spindles/Carriers, I would hope you didn't invest in Alum Chassis Braces as they aren't needed(heck i rarely run braces), Also the Losi wing is THE wing to run. Check out some other Brand cars and your'll see losi wings here and there.

Seriously? I did get the aluminum braces. :( What changed the thinking that flex is okay?

Also, I have about 2mm play vertically in the spindles now that I've installed the aluminum ones. Is that okay too? The plastics had no free play at all...

Chassis Flex has a big part to do with Traction.

2mm seems a little overkill....stuff shims in there til its bound up and meaure....I doubt it'll be much over .5mm
