Hey guys Im new to this site. Sorry if this is a stupid question but can you still buy parts if you break them for the nitro SC8?

I have a friend and I might buy his but want to find out about parts first.

Thanks!

Buy it buddy you will love it they are so much fun... The parts aren't going anywhere as they are the same as the rc8 and rc8t

Man I love this truck. The only issue I have is with nose diving off jump. If anybody has any setup advice or etc, I sure could use it. It has me stumped trying to figure out why it is doing it.

Desprite bump.....:batman:

TravisT 02-06-2013 11:53 AM

Mine is doing it too! I have done torn the front bumper off and already and ordered a T-bones front just after a week of ownership. i Didn't order the rear so I hope I don't make matters worse. if the tbone is worse than I'll be ordering the rc8.2e front bumper to shave the weight and still having some kind of protection for the front diff assembly. I have the Trinidad's but what bigger tires are a better option? The Trinidad's make the sc8 Look like a 1/10 and its lowered causing chassis drag, ect....... Do I need to look into buggy wheels/tires??

Has anybody tried a BCE chassis on the SC8??? If so how did it work?

Herrsavage 03-04-2013 09:41 AM

I recently asked about getting one for my RC8T, and was told forget it - the stock one is better. The BCE stuff is expensive, and IIRC what I was told, it just has more flex. How is a heavy SC8 going to benefit from that - and for what? I guess if you're racing it at a very high level, maybe?.. But yeah.., who races SC8's? And even if you do, what is a BCE chassis really going to offer, under that heavy roll-cage and enormous body?...

Tore down and redid the front and rear ends on mine the last three days, and rear shocks.. What a filthy job.. - hands are sore and dirty... Kind of like jogging - the only enjoyable part is being finished.....

Here she is...

And with my other recent wrenching project..(RC8T built up new from chop shop parts...)
