I wish I had a crew like you guys to play with at our track ..there's just a bunch of 1/10 4x4 SC sewing machines zinging around at track:lol:

So I'm still rockin' the SC8. Had a phase where I was very displeased with it, but later realized I just had a very bad set-up for this particular track.. And when I tried to sell it people expected me to give it away. So I kept it. Glad I did, too.. It's a solid, robust, and fast truck that if nothing else makes a good platform for breaking in and testing engines.. Have an Argus A52 with 0801 in it now, and it shreds..(at least on bottom.., and it has plenty top for any tracks I'm likely to run on..)
Anyway - question: I just picked up a new body, and am just going to rattle-can it black. Then I got some Rockstar stickers, and yeah that's about it.. Anyway, I'd like to reinforce it somehow so it doesn't rattle apart so easily.. I've noticed that since the body is so big, and rattles so much over the cage, and is so square in places, that the body goes to hell quickly.. So, what can I do to strengthen it? NFMH, I know you did something once? What exactly? Anybody else? Anybody else even running one?.. |
New bod.. Back in Black:

Just picked one up in a trade:nod: Too bad the weather is getting cold already but the jammin .21 that came with it seems like it will do the trick for a while
|
Nice. Post some pics. I had a Jammin/Picco twin in mine for a bit too, and it ripped. I actually think the SC8 goes better with a good 21 than a 28.. Here's mine, all finished except cutting out the window..
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...S/DSC07699.jpg I have the Mach 427 with Go 2047 in it right now. Very nice combo for the SC8. With almost every engine I've tried you need a 17T CB - with the Mach maybe even a 18T would be worth trying for good top-speed.. |
I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this thread....Hello SC8 brothas!!!....:D:D:D
