battery forward
Hi all
Question for those of you running the receiver pack forward, do you have to balance the chassis by adding weight to fuel tank or not, did mine the other day and ran last night without testing, car felt ok like this but did tend to roll to that side in the air a little, just wondering if a bit of offset balast would help in that department.
cheers

On a side note... having a bad front or rear pinion bearings, or center diff bearing will cause the car to roll to the right in the air. It's because of the axes they spin on. When they go bad it acts like a reversed brake.

Hey anyone have any ideas here. I have glitching problems really bad when im racing on a large track during day. I can't say its because the day light, heat or if its the track etc but i glitch bad, and it seems to come and go. Iv'e swaped reciver packs, reciver, and power switch. Funny thing is it stopped for a while when i changed packs and reciver and switch but all seemed to come back again. I dont think its servos because both are doing it. It seems my steering will slow down or just stop and my throttle wants to blip or not respond sometimes. Im using futaba servos s9351's. Maybe should put heat reflectant tape on the box to try to reflect as much heat as possible? Or will it attract more heat? Im just really confused and is making me upset to the point of wanting to give up. If anyone has had this happen help me out. I dont run lipo, nor a regulator, or life. Just standard nimh. Also how did Battle mount his reciver pack forward? Did he drill his gurds or what? I find the mugen stock likes to pop the rear putting it nose down kinda in the air, will the reciver forward make this worse?

A few thoughts:
Check your servo leads and wires. If you've got fraying, compression, or any near shorts in there, that can cause it. I'd take the servos out and look closely at the leads and plugs. Same with your transponder.
Glitching can be caused by electical "noise", which believe it or not can be caused by metal-to-metal contact in your car. Check all your screws, brakes, etc for potential metal to metal movement.
It looks like you're running Futaba w/ the Spektrum module from your sig -- if you've swapped out RX, Battery, AND Switch (preferably all at the same time) and the problem persists, and none of the above items helped, I'd say your TX module or radio may have an issue. Borrow a buddy's radio and bind it with your RX.
Hope this helps!
