Good thing about Hitec is their warranty best in the bizz if you ask me. I do agree running strait lipo is hard on servos HV or not you are running a componet at is max.
My other car has normal servo's in them so I'm still doubting about running LiFe so I don't need a regulator in that car. I guess the servo's will last longer if I don't go lipo?
How long did you use them before they failed? I ran my Hitec 7954SH for a year in my elektro mbx6 and it's still in great shape imo. No play or weird noises.

I use a 6v/5amp protek regulator (for some reason the link says product not found)? I hope they keep making it, its super small and I've used the same one the past year and half in my buggies.

Default bearing question?

Hey guys, what's a good set of replacement bearings? The stock bearings are great, but they don't quite freespin. Im looking for an upgrade. Maybe the advantage ceramics? Or should i just clean and relube the stockers with oil intsead of grease?
Oh, and Chad, You the man!

AVID BEARINGS, you can't beat them $1 bearings. Clutch bell bearings last easily a gal, and wheel bearings can go longer.

or TKO bearings are priced cheap as well.

I'm an avid user too. They are very good imo. I bought other brand bearings too in the LHS for my other cars, but they are all crap. The only good bearing I have used to far are Mugen, Xray and Avid bearings. I hear good things about TKO too, but never tried them. Avids are too good to make me change

Chad, the link will not work for me and I did a search on A-mains site and could not find it. Do you happen to have a part # that I could possibly search for, or can you suggest another product? I take it by your post that you would recommend using a regulator. I will run the lipo you posted with a Specktrum SR3100 pro receiver, a high voltage Hitec 7940 throttle/brake servo and a Hitec 7955 (which I am told will operate using a lipo) steering servo. Or should I just run a standard 6V flat pack? Thanks for all of your help.

Thanks again, Mike

The 7940 will take high voltage all day long and so will the SR3100 Pro RX. But the 7955 is not rated for higher than 6.0v use. You would be advised to run a regulator with that servo.
