On a vid done by one of their product managers, I could of swore they said we can also use a Li-on stick pack as there is some space along the side? Now where did that video go?

We have a narrow 2s lipo pack available and also a 2s Li-ion 18650 3000mah pack in the works. Both are designed to fit the battery box. The hump is intended to allow room for your battery's balance plugs.

Hard to see in the pics, but you can run the rear shocks in front of the rear arms / shock tower like a 1/10th scale car.

It will be interesting to find out info like this in the near future.
You can use the new and improved hinge pins. That might be the only thing.

Yes, that feature is designed into the car.

Looks like with the graphite inserts they fixed my #1 annoyance: bendy arms.

I got to seee the X in person today at Hot Rod Hobbies (spoiled living in Southern California), Frank Root brought the actual photo car for us to check out. Looks really good, lots of smart little details that make sense. Eager to see one run and drive one.

Not much of a showing for the new 8ight-X at ROAR or EURO warm up. Really like the buggy and want to get one, but makes me 🤔 twice about getting on.

The team drivers had little, or in some case, no time with the new car before the ROAR Nats. Still a lot to learn, but they still got one into the final.

just cause a car doesn't get into a final doesn't mean it's not good, it's mainly about the driver and how well they know there car and can set the car up. Having a newer better car then something your used to I think is a disadvantage. Some people buy a new car or different brand before a big race i think they are at a disadvantage cause they don't know the car. But it comes down to the driver to how hard they work and some of them can drive every car and still beat everyone haha
gt racing and B.cassidy like this.

exactly.
complete new platform will take time to adapt because the drivers are used to the old platform & used to "old" set-up schedules/behaviours.
i am 100% sure reno for example will soon rip it with this buggy. its going towards his driving style i think.

give them some weeks/month.
remember ty and being new to xray? now he is on top after how long, almost 2 years it took.
B.cassidy and Elgstrand like this.
