Heres the Red RC Release

Following a couple of teaser images TLR have officially announced the forthcoming release of their brand new and completely redefined 1/8th off-road racing platform. The buggy utilises a new, wider chassis layout to aid in stability and to give the buggy a more neutral feel. New chassis guard have an improved fit on the chassis and a large footprint engine mount reduces flex underneath the engine to eliminate chassis fatigue on high traction race surfaces. Optimised chassis balance with the weight has been moved forward in the chassis provides a better driving balance to the vehicle while the updated radio tray now puts the throttle servo near the engine to eliminate additional linkage. The updated radio tray will ensure the throttle servo is rigidly mounted to avoid any flex by floating the servo off of the centre differential.

Another area of the buggy that has received attention by the designers is the driveline whose centre drive shaft angles have been modified so they are equal front to rear allowing for a more 4WD feel to the vehicle. The front and rear diff case has been altered to allow easier access to the differentials without removing the bulkheads from the vehicle. The centre diff can be accessed via split centre diff mounts with the removal of only four screws allowing all of the brake mechanics to stay intact. Part of the package are also updated shock towers that are redesigned machined 7075-T6 alloy items that feature updated camber link holes as well as a taller height in the rear. As for the suspension the 8ight-X Next Gen suspension geometry has been completely revamped making a car that is fast, nimble, and easy to drive. This includes a myriad of updates including kingpin inclination, trailing spindles, wider front pivot with less scrub radius, narrower rear pivot, longer rear shocks, and updated hub offset. All new suspension arms have been designed to accept stiffener plates that will allow racers to tune the flex of the suspension. The kit will include moulded plates with optional carbon fibre plates available separately. Other features include adjustable caster blocks, bladder shock caps and a redesigned steering rack that allows for more Ackermann adjustments. The kit is rounded out by a new, wider body shell to accommodate the updated chassis design. No word yet on a release date but the kit is expected to hit stores late this Summer.

Its one of the more out there servo tray setups I've ever seen. should work great

The big question is what parts from the X, if any, can be used on a 4.0. The X looks awesome, but from past experiences, you NEVER buy a newly designed kit for at least 6 months after it is released, and all the kinks are worked out and fixed. It will be interesting to find out info like this in the near future.

Only the spider gears in the diffs and diff cases are the same. You can also use the same clutch set up, the new clutch is metric. Oh and the EVO springs.
