I managed to break a body post really wasn't even a hard crash but I had the body up some in the rear so I'm sure that allowed alittle too much flex not a big deal. Will the proline mounts work? I tried the one's off my slash but they were too big to fit in the mount. I wanted to get a jeep body next but I know I will need the extended body post.

Awesome thanks. Kinda glad this post broke before I ordered the wrong thing. I thought this was a universal enough part it would just be a industry standard size.

I mean, +30ft nose dart on concrete? Nothing broke? Saw it drive away? Wow! That was a joke for the Chevy vs Ford guys. Moving on to watch more Savage videos. |
Managed to snap the rear body post mount off on both sides yesterday. Brutal roof landing. Posts are fine tho.

Motor Mount Insert Update
I found and purchased the TKR5211 Motor Mount Insert to try and see what was going on and continue putting this awesome kit together.
I also purchased a new motor just in case. No, i am not wealthy to go buying motors on a whim to see if something works. I dug deep into the RC fund because i have been floored at how good this kit is and i am very excited to finish drained wallet or not. I am not a mechanical engineer so i can't really give a good explanation as to why the old TKR5211 Motor Mount Insert works but the one i received TKR5211X Motor Mount Insert doesn't. The measurements you see below should not make that big of a difference but it was like i used a Traxxxas mount (If i was on URC I would be banned for saying that) before and i now have a Tekno mount. The TKR5211 Motor Mount Insert literally fell into the motor mount with both motors. Don't know don't care but hope this helps somebody and maybe Tekno to re-look at the CAD drawings, DRO calibrations or ?? Last stop today for the Tekno MT410 Monster Truck was at the 360 degree skate bowl to see if we could ride it nice and high, yep this truck can do almost anything that you can throw at it, I'm officially impressed TEKNO

Wow. How is that even possible to not break something after hitting it a few times at different angles on a metal pipe. As someone who is new to Tekno that is pretty eye opening.

I've been running Tekno's for 2 years. 3 sct trucks, 2 nitro buggies, 1 truggy, and 3-4 ebuggies. I have the small USPS priority box sitting in my office of all the tekno stuff I have broken in the last 2 years. I can still see about 30% of the bottom of the box. With this durability, I can't make myself take advatage of Tekno's 50% warranty for replacement parts. With teh carnage I see every weekend at the track, I just can't complain. Don't get me wrong, there have been some hits that make me think I had to have broken something, and didn't. Then there are times I'm shocked to find something wrong during rebuild. Bottom line. Tekno made a MT, which is a true basher. Welcome ALL bashers to the machine you've all wished for. You can now play more than you fix stuff. And savage Sam, You can sure put that thing through it's paces. with the throttling out to marshal yourself though, keep an eye on your diff outputs, and shafts. They take a beating, and hold up to some wear, but that's brutal. LOL |

This rig needs it's own beefier body posts, the SCT410 posts are really small :-( maybe tekno is listening.. this isn't the first case of these breaking that I've read. |
