Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago, I came across your challenge and have been trying out the last few courses from time to time in my attic. It's not so easy when you're used to 50s records. But it's definitely fun.

Hello together,
a few days ago, we were sitting with our RiMa Racing Crew on a beautiful spring day and drove a few laps on the Mai layout. We usually ride only on the big track, but it was a really nice change of pace in a casual setting. It was pretty tight with 4 vehicles on the small track, but it worked surprisingly well. And of course, we couldn't resist driving the 75 laps to see where we ranked with our self-built RiMA Racing cars.

[QUOTE=Fruchtzwerg;16191065]Sorry, but I can’t post pictures yet. Here are our first results:
Keep running Fruchtzwerg
These M96 layouts are small in the beginning but with enough laps and correctly setup car, the track will begin to feel large and you can shape apex entering and exiting corners. Just give it some time and you will enjoy this track even more. My first week was very difficult getting used to the size and tight corners but after week 2, it was easier to make laps.
Hopefully July's layout will be more opened up with a "straight" straightway lol.
Keep pushing!

We had a pretty good turn out for May, with a total of 15 drivers!!! Welcome to the new guys ekim628, Jake T., joelisenat, Marco, Lukas, and Rigo and great to have the returners! Yall are getting your times down and we had some very close racing with less than 10 seconds between the top 4 in Box Stock! Also VERY COOL to have people from all over the world running the Challenge!!! Australia; Germany; Switzerland; California, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas, USA are all represented well!!! Also cool to see the different chassis run against each other in the Open Class, and the Porsche class growing with the 911 re-release!
CRiXman (Cham Dass) had the FREAKIN SMOKIN' time of 231.736 / 2.757 with his Open Chassis a DS28!!! Congrats!!!

Let me know if I missed someone or screwed up the times. I think I checked them all with the posted time pics, but I've been up a few days, so I'm a bit punchy!
For the guys who couldn't post pics, message me, and I'll do what I can to post them till you can (which is usually between 10-20 posts). Anyway, Yall have fun running CCW for June! It's a bit tricky getting around the wall in turn 4! I usually hit it every 3rd or 4th lap!
I have a few layouts for next month I'll be posting this next week. They are more suited for high HP chassis with long straights and the ability to turn 180* corners well!
HAVE FUN and keep it rubber side down!!! Drew

DAMN IT!!! That wall sticking out in turn 4 is kickin my arse!!!!
Got my speeds up going CCW but i keep hitting the turn 4 wall causing me to break another Jomu! I was using just the carbon fiber clip and this happened!

I have a Reflex carbon fiber bumper and clip I run on my ProStock chassis, and I like it but I'm wondering if the Plastic bumper/clip combos (PN) are just as protective as the carbon fiber ones at half the price?
Going to get the Shoe GOO out along with some sheet ABS and repair this Jomu, but it looks like I'll be ordering a few new Jomu bodies and bumpers to protect them.
I did put on the Reflex Ti wheel shafts that use screws instead of nuts and keeps the shafts from digging into the walls with hard strikes! VERY MUCH worth the $20!
Anyway, yall watch those walls!

Thanks for posting and moderating this challenge Drew! Layouts are tight and tough but its so much fun and really satisfies that racing itch. It is also great to meet new people that have the same passion for this hobby.
This may help you Drew....
I had my Vet bumper crack in half so what I did was take one of the RCP barrier screws out in the corner bumper facing the diagonal straight. This allows the foam barrier to give in a little at impact minimizing the force. It's the red inside corner dots on turn 4. I left the one adjacent so the corner is secure and it won't come loose. I would also try this on the outer barrier too, IF you crash into those.
I will put the screw back once my practice is over but this will hopefully save my bodies.

Eric, I was thinking of removing a few pins just before I cracked the body, but I just got lazy! When I first got my track we were running the crossover track and alot of us running that track removed pins in the open corners. It saved my bodies then! I've ordered a replacement body and removed a few pins too!
Great Minds, though mine was a little slow!
I'll probably add them back in when running at the end of the month, because if you hit a wall with the pins removed you can sometimes wedge the car under the wall!

Got board this morning, and after watching IMSA races most the day, and reading about the 911 GT3 RSR, I wanted to try my 911 as a MidMotor like Porsche designed it. So I took my Narrow chassis, which has a Nexx Racing 90mm MM Pod, and put my 911 body on it along with the wheels/tires from my Porsche chassis w/ Nexx Racing 90mm RM Pod.
It handles very well, though it is a bit more prone to TR, I'm guessing it's the higher position of the motor, raising CG. But a little sooner off the throttle and smooth steering inputs, has it carving the corners! I'm going to put both chassis on the clock this afternoon to see which is faster.
Fun experiment, maybe a sub class like the MX-5?
Hope yall are getting the CCW layout down. I'm finally able to miss the turn 4 inside wall much better. I did loosen the wall pins about half way on both inside walls on turn 3 and 4 to help absorb the hits. It allows the walls/corners to slide up making the square hits much easier on the bodies!
I'll be posting ideas for the next layout towards the end of the week. NO straights with walls protruding into it this time!
Have FUN EVERYONE!!!
MM Chassis on the left, RM on the right.

Here's pics of the corner pins unscrewed about half way. Seem to really help, but with a hard hit it will dislodge the corner pieces from the walls and it's best to fix them quickly to keep them from deforming the "locking ears" .

I've been running a little each day wit mainly my Stock and ProStock. My second RX was a dud too, so my GLR is parked till I get that SNAFU figured out. I ran my Box Stock today with both my Enzo and 12C bodies, and all the runs were suffering from not driving BoxStock for a while, as it drive SOO much different than my brushless cars!
This was my 3rd run for the afternoon. Not my best, consistency wise, but my fast lap was nice for me going CCW!

Ran a couple of runs with my ProStock with a pink Jomu. I slapped a Green spoiler to match the wheels, but will be painting it as soon as I decide on a scheme. Not the most manly color, but damn can I SEE IT!
I have both Lexan windows and Roof to go on the Jomu. I just need to decide if I want to blow the roof off or not. Anyway, the car is running GREAT, me ok, but if I push it any faster I start screwing up. CCW is not my friend!
I usually overshoot turn 4 and wind up in the corner. Consistency was ok, and I had 1 roll on lap 46, but I landed on my wheels.

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the delay, but between my back and Family stuff I didn't get a chance to setup any of the layouts for next month, YET. But I wanted to post them to give yall time to see them and vote. I will set them up in the next couple of days, and report back. We've did a very similar to track #3 with switchbacks on both ends in 03/2020 but I added a section to the short switchback, but I was wanting to stay away from any walls sticking out into the high speed sections!!! I'm tired of cracking bodies!!
I think the #1 Switchback Oval is going to be my favorite, but well see.
#1 12x8 Switchback Oval

#2 12x8 Switchback Big Loop

#3 12x8 Switchback Long and Short- is VERY similar to the layout from 03/2020 with an added section in the short switchback.

These tracks aren't as challenging as the last few months, but I did set up the 03/2020 track when I first got my Mini96 and it was fast and fun!
Let me know what yall think! If your running the challenge, vote on which you want to run for the next 2 months.
