Unfortunately that seems like the only option at the moment. I have a pinion gear that is a smaller length on the teeth and fits perfect but I dont know what brand it is, bummer.

Got a set of Tacon Soar buggy rears to run on the truggy ($7/pair on nitrorcx.com)...they should definitely hook up better than the stockers on my track. Also added a fan to keep motor temps down. Excited to run it tomorrow!!

FYI...the Tacon tires were a MASSIVE improvement over the stock tires at my local track...stock 2wd buggies were running in the high 13's - low 14's for fast laps, and the Reflex with the new tires was running 15.0's-15.1's for fast laps. Now I just need to convince a couple of the fellas to pick one up so we can have a class........

The 14T looks really good on that track!
The indoor track I race at uses clay slicks, so I bought a set of these to try out: edited, these are junk, don't buy them!)
In open practice my LC Truggy was able to keep up with the 4wd mod buggies. They might be a good option to consider for indoor clay, and if they don't work out, they're great street tires for bashing around.

I've already ran them a couple of times. They don't seem to grip as well as the MC primes we run at our track, but it's still enough grip that I can keep up with the 4wd buggies. I'll be at the track with them again tonight and this time I'll try putting on traction compound to see if I can get them to grip even more. I do like them much better than the stock tires that came with the truggy.

I also see a more treaded looking tire too with a similar price.

There's a ton of similar wheels/tires on Amazon. They likely all come from the same factory out of China. I only picked those because they only green ones with prime shipping.

That track looks like it's made for 1/14 scale. 1/10 barely gets to stretch their legs there. The buggy seemed to track straight for you. That was one of my questions about the 14b.
Be careful buying the Chinese tire/wheel sets. The tires are good but the wheels can be super brittle. I bought a few sets and the wheels broke right away.

There was some pretty good feedback in the reviews that let you know if the wheels were a problem. I've beaten mine pretty hard and so far they've held up.

these tires are ones that someone recommended to me as being really good:

they come in a variety of colors too.
