You may be a noob but if you keep working and posting about your 14b you'll soon become the resident expert for this particular vehicle. I'm loving your enthusiasm!!!

According to "Gear Size Calculator - Technobots", the metric is 0.5 mod.

does this mean we might be able to swap in other spurs?

There's a small indoor turf track near me that had practice last night. Someone must have brought a reflex because they were all posting about how good it looked and predicting there would be class of them soon.

Already, AE stepping into the 1/14 market seems to be paying off for the rest of us!

glad to see another player in the game. 1/14 scale vehicles to me give a nice balance of race performance and size. Finding large indoor places to run 1/10 can be tough. A track as small as 35 x 35 these can be great fun.

Our new facility is about 45 x 48 or so and its like wide open spaces now lol.

got my tires in . the LC racing truggy 1/14th tires seem pretty big. I think the "rear buggy" in both back and front would be a good combo. But i only ordered one of the rear buggy sets. This is 2x truggy, 1 x buggy rear, 1x buggy front, a set of apex touring car tires, and the stocks on the truck.

do you think the truggy tires being this wide will cause any excessive wear and tear or will this motor setup handle it ok (on the 70t spur)

Not to sure about Spurs yet, but the rc18 pinions are a direct fit if your looking to go up or down on pinion size. Really hoping for someone to come up with a steel spur..

You should be just fine with the 70t. Just keep an eye on your temps.
I'm actually going to try buggy rears all around tomorrow, I'll let ya know how it goes. How's the 5/5/3 diff oil working for you? I'm going to try 5/3/3 tomorrow as it is getting much colder here in the Mojave desert.

Trugyy wheels like the LC's or any 2.2 size will definitely increase temps, but how much I couldn't say. Larger diameter will increase your rollout which increases speed, hence higher operating temps. It might still work okay though. I think I have that correct?

I know on my LC temps drop dramatically even with timing and boost on the ESC when I use rally wheels or touring car wheels.

well it should be about 30 degrees outside tomorrow so at least i have a natural freezer to run in. i mounted the buggy set. I cant speak to the diff fluid because its been wet and muddy but its finally getting cold again so ill be able to try it soon. in the basement on concrete it felt like the steering was nice and controlled and smoother then before.

For any of you boys looking to replace the steering rack bushings for bearings. The Losi Mini 8 steering rack bearings are a direct fit! Alot more free and a more direct steering feel.

Did you drill the stock pinion to fit the 2838 motor?
I didn't find any suitable pinion (-> 0.5mod and 1/8" bore) that can be put in such a small room.

Ditto on the touring car wheels. I really like my LC truggy better with touring car wheels on it. Everything runs cooler and the car drives better. That would be my recommendation for anyone running 1/14 scale.

Based on what info I was provided on fitment of servos to replace the stock units on the LC racing vehicles and the AE ones which use the same, there are some really nice servo options if you want high end from KO Propo and Futaba. Gonna see about confirming some for the LC Racing lineup (from user personal usage) and make a list, will post back here.
