Then you see white people getting bashed because they will have a "cornrow" hair style. They say it's as bad as black face for trying to mimic black culture. How many black people do you see straightening out their hair or bleaching it blonde?

Sorry, white people. In this day and age, you have no chance on trying to be proud of what you are. There is a large force trying to tear you down and tear people apart. The sad thing is, many people are falling right into the mess and loving it.

When white people started getting corn rows and dreads and listening to rap music, I thought, good the mainstream is beginning to accept our style/culture. But some people will accuse it of appropriation. I've heard people say that about white guys getting into the Japanese sport of drifting. Or the weebs that obsess over Japanese culture and anime. Some stuff is just an over reach by the complainers. Everything is not appropriation. White people walk a fine line, when they show pride in their race, they're immediately lumped in with the alt right, aryan brotherhood, kkk and neo nazis. A few rotten apples spoil it for the bunch.

Thant's what I'm talking about! Now you ask "why would somebody want to divide us?" CONTROL!!! If you read some books on how to control society, they will all talk about how you must first separate them, have them be at war with each other, and then offer a cure while still fueling the flame. You must also keep people under constant fear and feel like they are not in control of their own life and they it's only going to get worse unless they follow their leader. That leader will call out anyone who is against them and scream about everythign they do is evil and those who believe only want to destroy all that is good. Any proof is deemed lies and a propaganda.

Racism started, and still exists, in Africa. Persia adopted it, then the rest followed. People talk about how white people need to pay reparations for slavery. However, I believe white people did. Majority of the people who died, in the civil war, were white. What was the main reason for the civil war? It was to free the slaves. Also, the Asians had it worse during those times. It was legal to kill an Asian just for being Asian. Then, what about the Japanese concentration camps, in California, during WW2? That was direct attack on their race. They lost land, jobs, money, family, etc... Where are their reparations? There are not enough of them to turn heads, and they are not ones to fuss.

Lincoln cared more about keeping the union in tact more so than ending slavery. If he could have won the war and saved the union without freeing the slaves, he would have. I wouldn't say asians had it worse. The Native Americans were forced off their land, moved around where saw fit and killed just because also. Black slaves were also killed for any reason or no reason too. Asians chose to come here, the slaves were brought over against their will. This isn't a competition about who had it worse. If you weren't white and wealthy, you were eating a shit sandwich. The Jewish, Irish, and Italians, caught shit too, but they could more easily assimilate into whiteness and blend in. You couldn't hide being black, asian, american indian, or mexican. I hate the , "well so and so experienced this, so they actually had it worse" argument. Nope.

Lincoln didn't want the war, but he had to go with what the citizens voted for.

As a reminder, I am both Asian and African, so I don't support one side over the other. In the USA, no race was treated worse than the Indians. The Africans were brought here, but it was Africans who sold them to the traders. The black slaves were property, so they were, for the most part, protected. Asians were not. History books don't talk about the Asians. They did come here voluntarily, but they were conned into coming. The railroads promised them freedom, money, and a cush life. Once here, they were thrown in cages and forced to work the railroads, or they would be killed. Yes, the rich white individuals were the biggest issue. However, that was all over 150 years ago. Both sides of my ancestry were affected by those times. It's well past the time where I should be upset with anyone for what happened.

We should all be over it. Especially when there are more black self-made millionaires in the US than any other country, including Africa. There are more black billionaires here also.

Yeah its convoluted. Thats why I summarized it all up with, everyone was eating a shit sandwich. Some slaves were sold or traded into slavery, but not all of them, some were captured also. Either way, that some were sold doesn't make it any less severe or ok. Regardless of how they became slaves, they still didn't come here at their own choosing, and it doesn't discount from their experience.

Asians definitely got a raw deal too, not discounting that. While they chose to come, as you said they got exploited for labor, mistreated, and then denied immigration. A lot of them were turned back. Agreed the native Americans had it the worse, they were basically nearly wiped clean. When people hear genocide, they think of the Jews. But what the native Americans experienced was basically that but worse and for longer. But the history books don't call it that.

All of those past atrocities shaped the country the way it is today, and there are still effects from all of it. While no one a live today directly experienced those things and shouldn't be mad about it, everyone should be aware of those past events and learn from them. And hopefully not repeat any of it. Just getting over it and forgetting about it isn't the answer.
