@SDW, a degree in language is necessary if you plan on teaching said language, especially at a higher level (high school and upwards, to foreigners etc.). Also necessary I think if you are a writer or a professional translator. Not much else tho.

@Speed Chaser - dude we got more coverage of the fires in Canada than we're getting of Hawaii fire. most of the news iv gotten have been shared social media stuff from the car community.

@Sir - idk, im pretty retarded (multiple learning disability's) but im betting i could teach people English well enough to be functional. hell iv picked up small bits of German just by reading VW magazines and books, listening to Rammstein, and studying a little history.
oddly enough i took French freshman year of high school (foreign language or a "fine art" was a graduation requirement but all they offered me that year was a language) and flunked out after the first semester big time!
