^No, my current KO TX has a dismal range. It's usable. but not huge. Like 50 metres. My old AM TX was absurd, you could drive till a bright yellow painted car was a black smudge in the distance. Easily 200+ metres.

I also suspect there's quite a lot of interference with structures etc.

Actually, come to think of it, it could be my TX that's the issue.....

I was going to say to put a more directional or higher gain antenna on the transmitter or increase the transmitter antenna's output power but simply putting a bigger antenna won't help much. The reason for the am tx having a better range is due to lower frequencies allowing for longer range and better penetration of obstacles.
