@SC, Actually, there was/is a roof top track over here. It's on the top of an old mixed use office/retail building. Go on to Google maps and type in fortune centre.

The disused carpark bit that's outdoors partway up the building, it had 2 tracks. An astroturf off road section that's no longer around, and the rest was an onroad section that's still around but only available on weekends nowadays for complex reasons. (used to be available everyday except Monday when the attached hobby shop was closed.)

Both ran EP 1/10 for obvious reasons.

friend of mine has a saying, something i like. you can't take my cars. to take my cars you must first take my guns. after that, ether you won't be around to take my cars. or i won't be around for you to take the cars from.

It makes me sad that instead of tackling oh I don't know stuff that actually would make a difference they target such a small community well relatively speaking in terms of pollution. What makes me mad are the politicians who amended the Clean Air Act and gave the EPA so much power

Sir 51D3WAYS I was referring to more of a hot Wheels-type type track where there is a ramp leading up to another level aka the roof.

They should tell the marine guys to clean up, but there's no way that's happening, they have more political muscle than us car guys. And that's a douche move from the EPA for sure.
It's the same reason why the IRS goes after regular Joe for owing $3.59 than some tax-dodging bazillionaire that owes $359 billion.

Btw, the EPA would much rather you drove around in a stock-mobile than remap the daylights out of it, inevitably increasing emissions. Only way around it as I see it is to have a stock-mobile tow a dedicated track rig to a track on a trailer.

Actually, such a track did exist on a much smaller scale for touring cars years ago, when I first started out this hobby. A mini-amphitheatre type thing that was adjacent to a now defunct LHS was adopted by said LHS on the weekends and made into a track. The Amphitheatre had two levels, and upper, slightly sunken one and a lower, much more sunken one. This meant you didn't need a drivers stand as well. There were 2 ramps to connect the upper and lower levels. Made for the craziest track ever. And the surface was pebbledash. I believe "the tyre" for that track was very specifically Tamiya M2 Radials.

The track was pretty abusive to your car though. People would just go through parts.

Yeah there is so much over reach. They're going for low hanging fruit. Easy to go after a few car owners than it is to go after mega corporate facilities with stacks billowing smoke in the air, dumping chemicals in the river. Every politician and bureaucracy needs a boogey man to justify their purpose and existence. So they come up with bull shit like, "its these young punks with modded cars in the streets racing" to blame pollution on. The general public which doesn't know or care shit about cars and car culture take it as gospel. But yeah they go after a few car owners who don't have the money, the time, or the means to fight it. Where a corporation flanked with lawyers and payed politicians would bring them to their knees.

Same for when federal agents track down and seize cars from owners that weren't imported legally. They do that, while drug and sex trafficking run rampant. I'm glad to the gov't has made it down the list of problems of poverty, gun violence, drugs, and sex trafficking, down to modded / imported cars. Yeah that's the problem with everything.... its cars.

I have an issue with the way our shipping system work we rely too much on semi-truck if we used trains more for first-mile delivery it would be a much more efficient system I think trucks should only be used for last-mile delivery.

if you have a modified car you're a street racer. why else modify your car? and as we all know street racers are the biggest bunch of super villains mankind has ever seen. Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, antifa, Putin, all the assholes in the middle east, none of them have shit on a street racer. the EPA know's, they've seen the street racing docuseries about Dom Toretto and family.
seriously though, they're so fucking clueless they could watch the fast and furious and actually learn something
