I don't think the government should just be handing out things all willy nilly either, but they take enough of our tax money to more than have a better/fairer healthcare system than we currently do. I wouldn't consider healthcare a handout, but a basic right. Healthcare expenses shouldn't be the burden of the citizens. Disability on the other hand is another topic. I take issue with the people that exploit it. I know people who are perfectly able bodied and mentally sane, but con'ed their way into getting disability. And they take the money and do drugs with it.

Europe isn't bankrupt because their healthcare is subsidized by America a lot of it is tied to drug prices. I would say water is more of a basic right than healthcare and I still have to pay for that sadly. Most Hispanics I know that have disabilities just use that money to send it back home which I don't agree with. I can see maybe and that's a big maybe universal preventive care being a thing here.

1.I think the old man meant bipartisan for the most part, not every single thing. He also has to satisfy his base to be fair.
2. Keystone could have been handled a lot better. Personally, I'd have allowed it but with strict rules. No cutting through tribal land, TransCanada is an oil company and therefore can easily afford to route their shit around their land. TransCanada were also being douches and illegally eminent domained some properties in Texas. They would also be required to upkeep and beautify it with minimal environmental impact. And any kind of oil leaks/spills would result in them getting sodomized by a giant dildo.
The problem is that this would still look bad to the eco crowd. It would look like the govt didn't care enough about climate stuffz etc., etc.

1. Name 1 good bipartisan thing his done? No one expected him to be bipartisan on everything hell people don't even expect him to be 30 percent bipartisan I am just looking for a good example of something that he was bipartisan in.
2. You do know most owners of tribal land would gladly sell it for large sums of money? It's only an issue when they come back after their money has run out to bitch about it being taken. Western oil companies already have the strictest guidelines compared to the terrorist-funding nations Joe seems to be happy buying oil from.

It's an all-round bad look for the govt and therefore politically unfeasible. Remember, politics is more about looking like you're doing something than actually doing something.

For as long as I have been alive, everyone is offered health care. The difference is, with the socialized medicine, everyone will have access to a private doctor instead of having to go to the ER. What happens now is, who pays for these doctor visits and why is medical getting so high in prices? Before Obama, my company offered free medical. Before my current job, I was paying $900 per month. The medical costs have shot up for us that pay for medical. Insurance companies use to be able to pay 50% to 70% of the actual doctor's bill. Now they pay 80% to 90%. That's so the doctors can make up for the money they lose with socialized medicine.

Health care is a business! I don't care what you here different People are in the medical field to make money. No doctor or medical researcher/engineer woke up one day and said "I'm going to get into the medical field buy spending 10's of thousands of dollars on schooling so I can lose my shorts and help people for free." No medical researcher/engineer is out there trying to come with the next greatest life saving equipment, or drug, and thinking how would they be able to offer it to the people for free. NO ONE!!! They are all in it for the money. This is why the US currently has the best medical devices and medication in the world. This why everyone, who has money, is trying to get over there for medical attention.

The biggest issue with the Democrat politicians is how they are pushing to make people think they don't have to work hard to make it in life.
1. They try to make it easier for people who are homeless. This entices others to become homeless.
2. They push everyone to believe that minimum wage should be enough for anyone to support a family with. Minimum wage is designed for someone who needs extra cash while going to school or something like that. Not to go buy a home or raise a family with.
3. They make you believe you don't need to pay for college so take whatever useless course you wish and get a job doing something totally unrelated.
4. We don't need to keep bettering ourselves by working towards a job that offers medical insurance.
5. If you are ever feeling down about yourself, just remember, it's because others are trying to bring you down. Most likely, they are republicans.
