I'm not exactly a beginner, been racing and now into drifting. Most of my chassis are Tamiyas and HPIs, so just wondering if there is anything I need to know on XXX-S in related to drift setup.
I know it is an old chassis being 'D' repackaged, and I'm just trying out this one
aha ... caught you trying a new chassis! well Jon over at PRCD used to run an XXX-S for about a year before moving to a T206 and HGColors runs it as his main battle machine todate, its his baby and knows it inside out.

What's up everybody.

I'm NEW to the Drift world. I'm running Team maigc E4 with a Tekin 17.5 w/Lipo T/C and a HPI sprint 2 Flux with a Tekin 21.5 Lipo, T/A .

Both of my cars FULLY UPGRADED. But I'm thinking about droping the T/A world and get into the Drift world. And by saying that, I am going to use my HPI for that mission. I'm having a HPI Skyline body painting as we speak.

What do I have to do/changes to my HPI so I can have a Drift car??

most drifters use soft front and medium rear springs. i use super soft front and soft rear and max out to meduim rear. my hard springs never gets used, you dont really need those as you want to get some grip on those hard compound tires and not just keep spinning out.

If you are pushing, The easiest way is to add lead weights to the front, to help it grip the surface more.
