Your profile says you live in Barrie...there is a strong machine building community in the Barrie area..there should be an anodizer somewhere in the general vicinity...if not there will most certainly be one a little closer to Toronto

my local annodizers do not charge by the tray. they charge based on surface area. they dont even use trays at my local shop, they have these special tree things.

the reasons why 4 costs the same as 1 is because of the minimum. for example lets say a whole car cost 10 dollars, the annodizer doesnt want to take the trouble to setup in whatever color you want, or add your parts in with someone elses (of the same color) for only 10 dollars.

locally the min used to be 50 but that was about 2002, now its like 75 or 80 minimum.

for reference actual cost to annodize a pod plate for an oval car (not ae small ones) is under $1. actual cost to get my entire max mod tire truer done was about 7 dollars if i rember right.

anyway it will vary locally of course, so maybe near you they do it by tray or something.

No one makes it right now. Shouldn't need it as this car is the most durable car out there right now. If you really need more protection put the Pdub on there and never worry about breaking...well almost never.

I dont seem to hardly ever crash now that I run this car, but Im used to yokomo where if you dont have wide front, pdub, and all aluminum you never finish a race ,

Xray has a wide front bumper in the works. Its soon to be released, and on the website.

I got to run my T2 in practice today. It needed a little work, but it was pretty close to dialed with a few changes from the kit setup. Its so smooth and easy to drive... it apexes totally different from the FTTC4, feeling the drivetrain spool down and then feeling the cog effect of the motor come in for "drag brake" is a little different than what i am used too. Ill be racing it tomorrow, with race motors and packs, so we shall see.

My car is DIALED. I pulled my all-time best tonight with 27 laps (5 mins). Stock Class on a VERY Technical track.

I took 2nd, I was down a whole lap with like a minute 30 to go and in the end the guy one by 2 seconds, 2 seconds!

Its all running good until I go back to the pit and find my car smoking I think the pack sparked some carbon fiber somewhere on the battery slots because I did't file them enough I belive.

Good luck Dave. You'll definitely see the difference.

I don't think you would want the motor brace. All the motor brace does is transfer energy from the impact into your much more expensive chassis against the end grain of the CF likely causing delamination. Where as if you break an endbell who cares.

Got the Alu uprights and toe issue is solved. For me it is a closed chapter!

The bearings are smaller than from the composite uprights.

And when meassuring downstops the value that you get is 1 mm more than with composite uprights when having the same droop. This is because there is less material (alu) below the pivot holder.
