as was explained to me by some top drivers in the world at the Reedy Race of Champions last year, the extra body posts in places are to keep the bodies from deforming while driving at very high speeds.

lot of the time bodies will deofrom under wind resistance and develop pockekts, and places for the airflow to get trapped.

the most common i can think of is where the hood turns into the windshield, a lot of the time the body can flex at this crease in the mold.

(wish i was a good enough driver to be able to tell if my lap times were tenths slower because my body was deforming under high speeds!)

Alan you are correct on the center supports but through all the pics it looks as if Surikarn started the event with no center bracing and then addded them as the event progressed if you look at the ones on LRP's website they are there but not in a direct side shot. We are hoping to see some of these updates at Reedy.....

Davioh it prevents the servo from stripping on a direct load(hit) most of the pros do not use one as it does aloow slight to major slop depending on the MFG.

would like some opinions from some of you, which would be better for performance.

the rubber sealed bearing kit that tamiya has or re-oiling the stock bearings?

Thanks in advance

I am still running the factory bearings. Peter is running the rubber sealed both cars spin the same when clean but Pete's run longer between details. They also seem a touch smoother but not much

Default Alternative Spur Gears?

Does anyone know if a third party is making spur gears for the TB Evo yet? I think the plastic Tamiya uses for the spurs is too soft. I have little rocks on the street outside my house that have already eaten up some of the teeth of my spur after only running a few packs on my Evo.

Yeah, I know Tamiya pinions are pretty soft too, but I know the alternatives for those. Just wondering who else might make alternative spurs from a harder plastic or plastic compound. And if anyone lives around the San Francisco area, what shop carries them nearby.

I've seen both the HPI's and the RW's on the EVO III
