the CRC car seems to be the most popular around here. Probably because it’s the only one (I think) setup for it out of the box and where the class really started.

The X-ray and Roche car looks good too.

any 1s packs better than others? what motors do they typically run at events? i know it says 17.5 or 21.5 at the tracks discretion.

I run the Xenon packs, seem to be a good value. I’m sure that is the type of thing if you ask 10 people, you will get 10 answers.

As for motors, our track adopted the Can-am rules, so we run those spec motors.

Please note that there are also ESCs made specifically for 1S racing. And mini servos too.

Also go back to the first post in this thread for the Rules of the class. These rules are what every major race uses. Just back from the IIC in Las Vegas...and that is what we followed.

Listen to BullFrog. For sure that a 21.5 motor would be painfully slow for the class.

If you want to race a 21.5 -we are running that in our new class GT21.5 (1/12th- It will be a demo class at this years birds) It's fast in this class but in the WGT-R you could have a lunch break while your car makes a lap.

Pretty kewl body; but, I don't see enough vertical clearance above the front wheel openings to handle suspension travel.
