ESC's never NEEDED to be approved when ROUND CELLS were used - the 4c version of the GTB came w/ NO Heat Sink or Fan (because 4c rounds cells didn't need it) - there's wasn't really much else that was different, other than I believe the wires were hard soldered instead of plugs for the small wires.
Most of us who ran the "Regular" GTB had covers made out of 1/8" aluminum and removed the heatsinks and fans.

Please don't anyone even start a discussion on that. It is a dead one now.

I hope somebody gets these and does some really good asphalt testing...(on-road and oval)
I'd like to myself, but I can't spend the $$ on them at the moment to test for a non-class...(I have too many other r/c needs...like some new VTA tires) But, I do hope they work so classes can be built around them in the really near future.
TESTERS - please post info as soon as possible!
Other things I'd like to know...
Best Mounting Methods (ie: cleaning, drying, etc.), adhesive or glue to use.
any other tips/tricks to mount them true.
Thanks!!!

There is a good video on TQ racing's website (the are a hobby store in Chino CA) on mounting F1 tires. Take a gander at that, it might help.

Dumper,
I see you encourage smaller tracks to use 21.5. What about larger tracks using 13.5?
What if any are the problems with running 13.5?
Thanks,
Jose
