Woo HOooO!
Got the GTB in the post and its up and running.
It's so much smoother than the 5800 in terms of low throttle response.
It does have much more of a mod feel to it though. The ss5800 was pin it and fly. The GTB has a more distinct powerband. The rip comes once it starts to wind up to full revs.

Look at the size of that Cap!

I have talked to a guy that has both and he said the Novak has stronger drag break feel and more bottom rip. The LRP is smoother and less drag break.

What is the turn around time at Novak for a GTB that did not work right out of the box? I sent mine in last week. I never got the car to the track. So a little upsetting to spend. $250 and it not to work then spend 23 for shipping to get it back before some racing.

So mark down one bad GTB

Has anyone seen or developed any thing that keeps debris out of the fan? I lost one to carpet strands.
Thanks and God Bless

Here is the way I mounted and did the Deans connector so that I can switch to brushed easily...

Dodge, the drag brake on the Sphere has three different levels of drag brake settings...

On setting 3 the motor will drag like a stock motor , even more actually...

I use setting 2... Its perfect.....

Deans should really consider a brushed/brushless plug.

How did you make this one? I see you used 2x Deans plugs?

I was just wondering, made the jump from LRP to Novak b/c the word was that the neo was having major issues. Well, Put the GTB 6.5 in and nothing! The fan came on and that was it! wouldn't even go into programming! Then my brother ran his new this weekend, forgive me I know this is the on-road section but the Novak thread was here. Every time he ran it it went into theremal protection. He used the lowest pinon recommended for off road and it over heated after about 4 min. Dropped the pinion another tooth and it would go into thermal protection as soon as the car stopped at the end of the main. The worst part it was SLOW! Ten double equivelent, not even close! Both of use are think refund on a piece of S*&T right now! Anyone have anything to help? By the way if any one is wondering between the two of us we have almost forty years of racing experience and both have trained electronics experience! Everything was done Right!

I used 2 deans connectors and some CA. I glued them with a the small part hitting the larger of the other connector. This will keep me from connecting it incorrectly. I also removed the extra deans pin for this setup. On the brushed connector I used the same thing just kept that extra pin for the (+) on the motor.
