Hi team,
Has anyone tried the carbon down stop droop plate from Makerrc ?? It doesn't work very well on my SRX the front arms no longer move freely. Not possible to use... very disappointed. |
Are these the parts you are using? https://makerrc.com/products/low-fri...7t-f-r-2-bando
When using any aftermarket upgrade, it can be possible that the machining on specific parts may not be perfect. I would contact the company of those parts to see if they have any recommendations or suggestions on improving the free moving of suspension. You may need to lightly sand parts/remove material. ---------- An alternative option can be found here... https://www.thercracer.com/2023/10/t...420-lower.html This web page has detailed pictures of the parts installed included part numbers of any Tamiya part you might need. |
Interesting thread, thanks for the knowledge shared

Did the droop plates come with any type of installation manual or guide?
Do the 4 carbon fiber pieces with holes go over the suspension shaft adapters or do they replace existing spacers? |
I've picked up a few used TT-02s kits. Each of them had a bent suspension shaft - Tamiya Part# 9805681. This is a 3x48.5mm shaft. After searching online I found that ARRMA also makes a 3x48.5mm shaft/hinge pin. - ARRMA #ARAC5029.
I used the ARRMA part on the TT-02s kit with no issues. Hopefully this info helps if someone is having a hard time getting the Tamiya part. Here are a couple of links to those parts... https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/7-dig...m-shaft-58261/ https://www.arrma-rc.com/en/product/.../ARAC5029.html |

Otherwise paint your dogbones a bright color (easier to see them of they fall out), and run an aftermarket servo horn if they are allowed. The kit servo savers aren't too great, of course you could try gluing the kit servo saver. Finally, unless if they're really picky about how you setup your diffs. You can sneak in a little bit of an earplug into the front diff to stiffen it up. |

Hey, i am just fooling around and bought a TT02SR kit
Got some blue parts and some carbon here and there, but now I'm just wondering Can you make 251mm wheelbase out of it? Like switch out rear lower arms? |

AFAIK that's not possible with the improved suspension of the "S-Type" cars, only regular TT-01 (incl. R, RR, etc)
