GT2 is very competitive. Most are running the latest TA car line TA07 / TA08.

The kit included a Tamiya TBLE-04s speed control which surprised, and when I Googled it seems this ESC has replaced the TBLE-02s version. Has anyone else found this new model ESC in their Tamiya kits?
I've used it in two kits. Don't use anything under a 15-17t if you do sensored brushless. Can't handle 13.5t at normal timing for continuous 5+ minute hard bashing. Spread it out and no thermal cutoff. Which brings the point that the thermal cutoff works quite well

I picked up the 91 Audi and the 92 Audi. The 92 Audi no longer comes with the 04s ESC and instead comes with a brushed only ESC. The 1991 Audi kit still comes with the 04s.

Reading Raman's comment, they may no longer come with the 04s ESC. When I bought these two kits a couple months apart, the 91 came with it and the 92 didn't.

Default Bit by the speed bug again.

After the USTE Scale truck event which I had a blast with my Trail Finder 2 at(I know, nonTamiya but such an awesome scale leaf spring truck), I took the TT02R out. Man I missed this thing. I remember the Audi body having the issue of the high pressure area inside the back of the body at 55+ mph, and the tiny spoiler. So I switched out the rear body posts and put the Lance Evo body on with a much better spoiler.

On my tiny little culdesac I was able to squeeze 66mph out of it, whereas the Audi body was spinning out or veering off to the side over 60mph. Not wanting to cut up bodies to help this issue as I love the way the bodies look.

I robbed a few things off of the rally build, and put the Audi body on there for the time being. The parts wound up on my RWD drift build. Need to finish the body up and I am waiting on the chrome 2 piece wheels to come in for it. I have some fine mesh I'll be installing in the cutout brake ducts and grille opening.

Best I can describe the paint, from most angles it looks jet black, soon as the sun hits it it's deep blue with a crazy amount of pearl. Inspired by GM's tuxedo black from old old Corvettes. On this chassis I will also be integrating red LEDs into the chassis itself for underglow. Being I am unable to locate the Porsche headlight buckets I'll be modifying AA Maglite reflectors.

The updated garage. 3 TT02's and an RC4WD TF2.

Need to do some Lexan repair on the front bumper, but no broken parts this time. Turns out driving slow with a scale truck and learning to "pick your line" when crawling with leaf springs gives alot more control and patience with a speed run car. I'm still a little reckless with the speed run car, but not nearly as much as I was. Though I still shouldn't be trying for 70mph on my road without the room for it

I need to get around to build threads for my TT02s, but I've got one for the TF2 if anyone is interested. Lots of great work put into this truck!

For those using the diff locker what outdrives are you using to fit the TT02RR dog bones?

Why does the oil diff package come with four little o-rings in addition to the larger o-rings? I used the 5mm ones for the diff as instructed.

I believe the small oring goes inside the outdrive cup so the dog bone dont fall out.

My newly-built TT02. First Tamiya kit I've built in a while. I forgot how much fun they are to build.

It's got:

Fast Eddy bearings
eBay alloy steering bellcranks
eBay alloy driveshaft
eBay alloy CVs
eBay threaded-boy shocks
Tamiya alloy motor mount
Tamiya 'high speed' gear set

Want to get:

Steel 'low friction' ball joitns
Softer springs

Haven't had it out for a run yet. Need to glue the tires on, but I'm really happy with it.

And with my recently-restored RS4 Rally.

Looks great! Love that livery.

Hi All, I’ve read the discussions about droop, but I missed whether it applied to carpet or asphalt. Would 2mm shims inside all four shocks be reasonable for medium grip asphalt? Considering using 1.5mm o-rings with a half mm shim.
