Default Lectron 5200mah 35c lipo

Hello. Would the lectron 5200mah 35c lipo be a good battery for using with the torque tuned tamiya motor? They don't seem like a bad battery. Is 35c enough punch for the torque tuned motor for club racing on a medium/small track? Thanks for the help

I really don't think Battery plays any role in TT, except for weight.
In a 6 minute heat I use 7-900maAh so is drawing very little current. Unless stock ESC is such high Resistance it is higher current draw.
Mine last one blew up so long ago I don't remember what capacity was used in a race.
Now run an old LRP QC3.

I think it matters. The larger the mah the longer the voltage remains high and then the speed remains high.

I had a set of this Super Grip Tire and I they were pretty good. Does anyone knows if there is any Tamiya slick tire with the same rubber compound?

I was searching for pre-glued and A-mainhobbies.com has a bunch. I purchased foams. tried them and they didn't hook up to well for me on asfault . tried tread style and they seamed to hook up better but I over powered the track and broke a front driveshaft with a rock stuck in the a arm. racing Saturday March 21 night time and will report back on how they work if I dont break again..lol

I saw somewhere a stealth body mount but can't find it again.. is there such a thing for the tt02, that you can get rid of the body posts?

Not entirely. If the amp draw is beyond the cell's discharge current capacity, the voltage will drop during load. 2S2P will always have better discharge than a 2S1P due to the parallel cell configuration. However, if your application does not draw current beyond the cell's rating, then you can benefit from the higher voltage discharge curve.

Personally I always go for the highest "C" rating I can find, something in the 100c range, 35c seems really low if you plan on racing this car. I am sure others will argue w/ me and I am no expert on batteries, yet I believe that a higher C rating will provide more power. The way it was explained to me is the C rating represents the amount of current flowing from the battery through the ESC to the motor, more current equals more power. For bashing you won't notice a difference, but for racing on a track w/ others it may. Again, I do not claim to be an expert and welcome someone w/ more knowledge on batteries to shed more light on this subject.

there probably is somehting, I'd look at the companies that make parts for the "Drift" version of the TT02 ...I'd bet there is a stealth mount that uses magnets or something to that effect. Probably popular w/ the Drift crowd.

Here we go... well, not yet
I couldn‘t finish the car today, but I give a overview:

Starting tomorrow, I will explain in detail what I have done to the car. First of all, I wanted to create a TT02 that needs no special custom parts and no reshaping the parts. Just plug and play. Second I wanted to create a TT02 for the new decade. A TT02 that stays up to the time. I hope you will like it

That car looks sick! Nice work.
I've been getting back into my TT02, even considering competing in a GT Pro Spec TCS event this summer w/ it.
