The lowest i can go with only using tamiya spur/pinions is 4.68 (90T spur with a 50T pinion).
If you want to go lower in FDR then you need to modify the motor cover to be able to mount the large pinions.

I have got 4.35 by doing this.

i'm now trying to get some pinions and spurs, just wanna know with your above combos, do i just need the spurs and pinions(without the tamiya speed gear set) and use stock everything without mod to fit the gears in or i still need other parts to achieve these combos? And will it be the same if the gears are not tamiya brand?

Btw, what dp should the gears be, 48 or 64?

I'm Always using tamiya pinions/spurs.
The only thing you need for being able to use the smaller spurs and larger pinions is the high speed gear set.
You are able to use the kit supplied motormount, but you need to check out the position of the motor on the motormount to have the correct gear mesh.
I'm Always using the 04 pinion/spurs, don't know what's the same when using the 48 or 64 pitch pinions/spurs.

I am new to this thread and i am looking for some advice on my TT02 swing shafts. My dog bone is always coming off when i run into some humps or bumps. One guy gave me an advice to change my swing shaft into so it wont come off easily. But upon looking on the market, there are still no available swing shafts for TT02. Can I use tt01 universal swing shaft on my tt02? Will there be no problems? What should I get? I am new to this hobby and any help will be highly appreciated.

If you want to change the stock dog bones into universals you need the following items. (all tamiya parts)
53792 TT-01/TA04 universal shaft set
54477 TT-02 Gearbox Joint for Universal Shaft (2pieces)

Hi I'm new here. I'm also a bit of a novice in the RC world.

So I just picked up a TT-02, built it and test drove it, I'm running it stock except for the motor/esc which is a 6000kv 5.5T motor and 60A esc, it seems to understeer ALOT, is this because of the standard friction shocks? or my driving :)

All cars with a 5.5 will under steer on power ;)

Getting a nice set of adjustable shocks, with some soft (say 40wt front, 35wt rear oil). Tamiya blue springs front and yellow rear.

For more turn in move the front shocks to the inner holes if you don't already have them.

Thank's heaps for that, a set of proper shocks is first on my shopping list, then ball bearings.:)

I've been using the adjustable motor mount for some time now, its very good and it makes me feel like my TT02 is much more usable at the track. I took it for a large race instead of my 417 (As an experiment) and it went really quite well.

Although I did break a front upright (But it was doing 40mph into a load of track hose).
