They also have 1D and 1E blocks which can get you to 3.5 and 4 degrees.
I just got my 05. Good info, thanks alot!

Default Love My TA05!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to stop in here and introduce myself. I'm a bit of an old fart when it comes to the RC hobby. In fact I have been out of the hobby since I graduated from college 16 years ago. I am now a high school Physics teacher, and that is how I was drawn back into this great hobby. Some of my students brought their cars in to my lab asking if they could use some equipment to work on the cars. I allowed them to do this, and in the process got hooked. They hold parking lot races on our school's tennis courts. I went and watched one, and then had to go out and buy myself a TA05IFS. I must say that I feel like rumplestiltskin waking up after sleelping half my life away. When I was last in this hobby, a 2000mAH battery was considered state of the art. I bought a mamba max 5700KV brushless system for my TA05 and a cheap 3000mAH NiCd, and I'm totally blown away by the performance and run times that I'm getting. When I was in the hobby before, anything that went as fast as these cars are going now would be lucky to have a run time of 3-4 minutes. I routinely get over 12 minutes with my car. Anyway, I just found this forum and wanted to say hi and thanks for the great information that I found here. By the way, after getting my brushless system installed I went out and smoked those youngins on the tennis courts last weekend. Great fun. Sorry to ramble, but anyway here is a picture of my TA05.

Default Thankyou

Thankyou for the welcomes and for the compliment on my car. As for turning the competition black and blue, I think I won that tennis court race mostly because of my TA05. IT really is an outstanding value for the price. I paid $155 for it from tower hobbies, and I really am impressed with the performance. As for me as a driver, it's starting to come back, but there is a lot of rust to be removed from being away for over 15 years.

I actually got pretty excited when I saw this. I like how it makes the car more similar to the TA05-MS with with it's extra narrow chassis. The main difference is that the cantilever lay-shaft allows the battery to move another 1/4 closer to the center of the car.

The main thing I don't like about the new 3-Racing design, is how the upper deck is done in two separate sections, with both sections being joined at a single center post. This is obviously a flexy design. That plus I've heard 3-Racing's reputation is only so so.

I am currently using the Penguin chassis, and it's single piece upper deck still comes together with a bit of flex...

Love the 3racing chassis I have and the matching shock towers, real good value for money. Cant comment on their other stuff though as ive not used it.

If the chassis I have is anything to go on, the new one should be well worth having too

I just fitted the new 3Racing chassis conversion to my TA05 and in about 6mm and the whole thing is narrower. The chassis is a little thinner too. Will post some pics soon and hope to run it this weekend.
