Took the pro module equipped TA05 out today with a Silver can to test run it, racing, the MSX struggled, light rain coupled with an offroad meet last night made the track very tough, the MSX was extremely TAILY!

The TA05

ON RAILS!

Couldn't unsettle the back end, it just held it's line and stuck, not in the least bit taily! Be interesting to see how it goes with a bit more pace in there, but I was able to hold off Stock cars on every part of the track bar the main straight! Comment from another racer was that it turned in so easily and didn't get loose on exit

Only down side, a droop screw on one of the Pro Mod arms, MOVES, I replaced it, still does it Applied some Loctite 222 (Screwlock) and so far so good.

I want to get rid of everything all at once but I'll be open to part items out...well maybe

I'm sticking with 1/12-scale though & a high-end sedan & maybe a heli
Good decision....stick with Schumacher Mi3 (I said that cause I can buy your option parts...LOL) You have PM...also, please let me know your ball part about the whole thing....I might go sell my NIB TA05R instead. (Yours is more attractive..and defintiely save me time to build my R and buy all the options for the R)

If that really happened....who wants to buy a NIB TA05R cheap?

Solara:

Hi,

If you do sell your TA 05R please let me know. I'd be interested in it.

Hebiki:

Hi,

do you ever get to the Tamiya USA Track??? and do they have a hobby shop there??? I'm looking for a Tamiya Subaru B body. I need it for my EVO V.
I want something different than the currnet bodies out there.

Thanks

There isn't a hobby shop at Tamiya on saturdays. But, Tamiya will sell to the public m-f during business hours at full retail price.

Jaun:

Hi,

Thanks I just need to find someone to find one for me as I live in Micigan. I have never made it out to Cal. (wish I have lots of times....) and there is no LHS's that will carry any amount of Tamiya parts locally.

Thanks

My view on the TA05MS:

- Wondering why was there a need for TA05MS after the recent launched of

1. TRF 415 MRE
2. TRF 415 MSXX
3. TA-05R

From these latest pics, we can clearly seen that the TA05MS is actually a production version of the Tamiya 30th anniversary car with bits of TRF415
MRE, MSXX retained.

Back to Darkseid comments:

There is no need to join the hype about TA05MS if you already a owner of the above chassis and you are happy with them because Tamiya need to come up new products every month to have you go out and slide that 'plastic card'...
I currently race the TRF415 MRE and I am doing very well. I bought the Tom's SC430 just to see how well a stock TA-05 can perform with the rest of the bunch. I didn't put her together yet, but if and when the TA-05MS does come out...I think I'll be buying one and alternate between chassis in races..

Default TA05R

TA05R first impression:

I took the TA05R for its first shackedown run at Tamiya America last Saturday. stock out of the box, except i went to yellow or medium springs, ran a p2k2 left over practice motor. 350Z Nismo JDM body w carbon wing,

I'm coming from a tbo2, it was soo smooth. and accelerated very fast coming out of the corners.

I was using 4.5 mm ground clearance, sides dragged on sweeper, will go to 5.0 mm and will go to yellow or medium sway bars when they are available.

I tried the small stock wing, turned in very nice and snapped most corners, although from time to time it would loop out. going back to big wing.

I forgot to set the tweak and droop, the car was awsome inspite of myself.

I never had so much fun with a first out of the box run.

later,
wn

Too much chassis.... I think the MS and IFS along with the 934RSR is a ploy to get us to pay for TRF416's development costs.

Hell, we already did that about 10x over with all the hop-ups we bought for the TA05 before the R came out.
