I am thinking in using a hobbywing 120A ver 3. for 3S lipos and a 6.5T brushless motor but have to know the right ratio for it (using 90T 48p spur), have to know the right pinion.

Large 29 mm turnbuckles rods arrived today!!! Now I can graduate rear camber between 2 and 3 degrees without problems!!!

Hey that looks good. 2 degrees should be sufficient right? Which track is your home track Rokosam?
What pinion are u planning on using?

My local track is in Spain, in Barcelona city (Catalonia).
About camber, nitro cars usually begin with 2.5 degrees rear, it depends of the traction, type of track...
This car uses nitro parts but is ligther so i thing a rear camber between 2 and 2.5 is the right one to begin.
My first idea was to use a 4.5T+turbo with a 140A Teampowers XS Pro v1.2 ESC with 90/19 ratio 48p.
But I think it will work better with a 3S lipo 11.1V capable ESC (maybe my 120A Speedpassion GT2) with 3S lipo and 8.5T-7.5T motor without turbo , but donīt know the right ratio for this config.
I have never used 11.1V 3S lipos before.

I'm installing the spektrum telemetry set to measure motortemps to make sure everything stay's ok. From there you can experiment with boost I guess.

My track is MACH in Heemstede Netherlands btw

Do you think 7.5T+ 3S lipo 11.1V is fast enough?
My SP GT2 Pro works with 3S lipos and = or >7.5T brushless
I am the guy with more virtual VRC PRO laps at MACH Heemstede!!! ever
15957 laps at MACH at this moment.. and more!!!

I think 7.5 would be a good start. Maybe use boost when temps stay low enough. Last year a club member achieved 112 km/h with a boosted 6.5 touring car on 2S. So 7.5 is ok I guess. You have more drag with a Lola body though but that is why we go to 3S instead of 2S
Say hi to Messi for me

Just ordered the missing VDS parts today. Aperently I bought the 200 mm version instead of the 220 version.
Now all to do is wait . . . . .

At the end I have decided to use 11.1V 3S lipos with this electronics:
Leopard 120A SC8 for 2S-3S-4S Lipo
Leopard Brushless 3900 kv/9T 4 pole 3650 motor
4,2V*3S= 12,6V 12,6V*3900=49140 rpm with 3S lipo
4,2V*4S=16,8V 16,8V*3900=65520 rpm with 4S lipo

I think 3S is more then sufficient. Allmost 50k rpm would do the trick. There is an equivalent combo from Castle with a 1410 Neu motor (3800 kv, 4 pole). Very curious how this goes. Let's hope for some nice weather.
