EDAM E-Spirit 220 mm
Here is my EDAM E-spirit in 220 mm Lola setup. Rear foam tires tend to be coned very easy!!! I guess this is ok but I canīt find a good setup for this car anywhere.

Electronics at this moment are:
Motor: Brushless Team Powers Plutonium 5.5T
ESC: Robitronic Speedstar 5.5T
Lipos: Eagle Racing 6000 mAh 70C
Not bad but this car needs a 4.5-4T motor !!!
Very good out of the box but the rear tires are very coned (1 degree camber i think) I think this is normal in nitro cars.

When i ran the 220 setup on my mtx4r, i had the camber set so it coned slightly because as you go faster through the corners it will lean it over a little more.
You can also run it so they wear flat if you like but it mught chunk the edges a little easier.
I found that when i fitted the 220 kit i went from not enough steering to too much and had to tame down the front end to get the handling balanced out.
Now the difference in corner speed is night and day to the tourer setup i must say

keep your 5,5 and use a 3 s pack =less heat more fun
lola bodies give a lot of steering
if none is fitted try a gurney flap

Can I use any ordinary brushless motor? I thought a special 3S capable 4-dipole brushless motor was needed and of course a capable ESC with 3S 11.1V lipos. By now no heat problems with my 2S lipo system and yes a lot of steering and traction.

Would you use boost with de 5.5 turns? The Hobbywing and Mamba Max Pro are capable to use it even with 3S. Ofcourse with the proper cooling and gearing.

Yes, next weekend I will try a TeamPowers ESC 140A ver 1.2 and 5.5T +turbo with a double motor fan and ratio 90/19 (48p)

Planning on using the Hobbywing Xerun ESC which is capable of running on 3S. Would love to see this thing fly on the track ;-)

Well. I could not try the car because there was a rainfall this weekend here. I will try it next sunday. Why always rains on weekends? . Please share your setup for 220 VDS here. I have ordered original EDAM optional 29 mm rear turnbuckle rods for a more graduable rear camber.
Here is a video of a battle with a friendīs Sakura Zero converted to 200 mm using foam nitro tires. Mine is the yellow E-Spirit 220 VDS. Both using 5.5T brushless without turbo modes. Of course he cannot catch me!!!.

Here some pictures of the car in 220 mm setup. I altered the rear suspension arm a bit. I removed the outer hole of the stabi-holder to free up de movement of the suspension arm.
And I changed the turnbuckels and driveshafts to blades.

Can you tell me the space in mm inside rear turnbuckles? I am using the factory instruction manual set up with 19 mm and I think i get too much rear camber in my opinion.
Those driveshafts are from electric touring 1/10?
I see you use 32/44 mm tyres, Xceeds?. With 220 bodyshells i prefer 30/40 size like Enneti. If you use 32/44 the car makes aprox 230 rear width (228) and I think itīs better to use 230 mm bodyshells like the Blitz 908.

I'm planning on using the Blitz 908 indeed :-). Or the Porsche 962 body.
See RC-Bodies.de in Germany for more 235 mm bodies.
The tires are Xceeds 32/44.
