Hey guys, we are back from the US Indoor champs so I thought I would post the setup for those of you running sweep tires.
It was a very interesting weekend to say the least.. we struggled a little with the setup(high bite) but once figured out, a new problem arose(remote related) and we ended up using all of our qualifiers to figure it out. Come practice on Sunday morning we had solved the problem and with a few minor changes to the setup, we were right back in it.
Keven pretty much had his way with everyone throughout qualifying so I think many felt the main would go the same way, but that was not the case as once Andrew got by second, the race was on! Driving most of the race less than a second apart, Andrew caught Keven near the end but unfortunately there wasn't enough time to make a pass. They ended up finishing 2/10ths a parts much to the delight of the crowd. Had we not started 3rd due to our poor qualifying, who knows how the race would have ended. Regardless, Keven drove awesome under pressure and deserved the win!
Setup notes:
One important thing that this setup sheet does not show is the glued sidewall on the front tires. If running in HIGH grip, glue up to the "sweep" on the sidewall of the tire making sure to do 3 coats.

The original BD5 came with a center link with 10mm spacing between the ball studs. Then they came out with an optional 8mm spacing which is now standard on the BD7. That's why there is an 8 on the center link.

Recently got a BD7 (exciting with something new). I see the setups often has listed one or two o-rings in the shocks. I suppose i have to use the BD-S2W(thin o-ring collar) when using two o-rings? Also, what o-rings do you recomend?

Yes that is the correct part number for the O-ring collar. I think most people use the Yokomo blue O-rings.

Yes, there is a different type of hard coating. Also, the internal diameter has been machined slightly smaller for tighter tolerance between the piston and shock body.
