Yes, they are a straight fit. As for the length, that what threaded shock bodied coilovers are for right?

Yes, mainly on carpet. Works better than Yokomo springs for me. Im going to try the yokomo springs again though after I learned something very interesting recently.

I'm not sure. Only know that they've been working better for a lot of locals not only on the Yokomo. HPI springs are plenty good so i wouldn't stress too hard over sourcing Ride springs. They are just finer tuning tools.

I wonder if yokomo is going to release the short shocks and towers that were on volkers car, if so is it a hop up part or release on a updated kit

Haven't tried it myself, but the manual lists up to 87 on the ratio chart.
