FYI if anyone is looking at the Team Setup sheet and they see the 9.5mm (pin) Front / 8.0mm (pin) Rear measurements, this works out to be 6 Front / 4.5 Rear with 10mm blocks and a droop gauge...

Pinion and Spur for BD7
Hey guys, need some advice. Saw on my BD7 manual gear chart that I should be able to use a 64p 55T pinion with a 96T Spur. I got the original Yokomo 96T Spur but when I tried to fit a 55T pinion on, I realised that the motor mount blocks the pinion. I only managed to get a 90T spur on with the 55T pinion.
Anybody come across this issue as well?
Was intending to run a 17.5T blinky setup of FDR3.5
Advice for a noob please.
Thanks guys.

Looks you need to try 88t spur for 17.5 blinky ?
I've never run 17.5 as that is our Sportsman class here
Please post your results

Thanks Redbull, I'll try out the 90T Spur I have in my box, else until I get the 88T spur, might just swop out the motor for a 13.5 and run boosted with a 36T Pinion and 108 Spur.

Thanks, will go hunt for the 48pitch spur and pinion combo. I actually got the 55T and 96T combo from the charts. Albeit the 55T was at the extreme range of pinion size, but the 96T spur with it still in the white zone. That's why I don't understand why it does not fit without serious mods to the motor mount.

FYI, the Speed Passion Reventon Pro HW version 1.1 is going to be released next week, mid August. Accordingly it has better FETs as a major complain about the Reventon Pro's is the braking power, or lack thereof. But heard will be priced higher than the current Pros.

YR4M
Had a YR4M back in the day. The car was appropriately named as Masaki was the only person that could drive it, it was a nightmare on the track. After locking the front one way, installing Associated short shocks and changing the wheels and tires, it was acceptable but my HPI Pro would eat it on a decent road course. Had an M2 later but by that time the Pro 2s were out and it wasn't competitive. Also parts availability was atrocious. No more Yoks after that.
