I like both (BD-7 & Raceberry 417V5). I thought the Raceberry was easier to drive for mod (running a 5.0) outside but my times were faster with the BD7. I also generally like the maintenance of the BD7 more since it uses more standardized parts all around rather than the Tamiya. The one feature I prefer on the Tamiya over the BD7 is the design of the DCJ. I haven't had an issue with the Yokomo DCJs but like the design of the Tamiya's more. Take my advice for what it's worth since I'm an okay driver on a good day.

Help with Base Asphalt Setup
Can someone help me understand the attached droop setting?
It's from the Base Asphalt setup sheet on PetitRC, I'm using this setup to initially get used to my car.
Yokomo recommend 9.5mm (Pin) at the front and 8.0mm (Pin) at the rear.
Do these values convert easily to using a droop gauge with the car on 10mm blocks?
Or to get it right should I be measuring droop differently?

Droop over RH is what I look at
There are 2 methods for droop on the setup sheet, both are easy check
I would reccomend kit build with HPi Silver springs, over any of the Team setup sheets as a baseline

Tried yokomo springs on carpet again, this time with 60wt oil and 1.1mm pistons. Normally I use 37.5wt. I tried these earlier but they were just so on edge that I couldn't drive a consistent five minutes. The heavier oil really helped calm things down. The yokomo springs bring this aggressive feel to the car in the middle of the corner. I'm definitely going to work on the setup now that I got the car manageable.
Next time I will try a little bit of a softer oil, maybe 50wt.
